Job description

Overview
Client is seeking an Intelligent Automation Engineer to support enterprise automation initiatives with a focus on Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), and system integrations. This role designs, builds, and integrates automation solutions using established RPA platforms while enabling advanced capabilities through Azure AI and/or Google Vertex AI where appropriate.
The engineer will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, automation developers, and AI platform teams to deliver scalable, secure, and well-integrated solutions. The role supports the full development lifecycle, including configuration, testing, implementation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement while adhering to established standards, security practices, and change management processes.

Core Responsibilities
• Develop, configure, test, deploy, and implement automation solutions that align with business requirements.
• Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, debugging, and issue resolution to meet established service levels.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate solution feasibility, and integrate automation solutions with existing systems.
• Support automation portfolios and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ensure adherence to security standards, risk management practices, Center of Excellence guidelines, and change management processes.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality automation solutions on time and within scope.
• Facilitate meetings to drive objectives, resolve issues, and support information sharing and action planning.
• Participate in Agile teams to deliver iterative enhancements and manage change effectively.
• Leverage cloud-based services and AI/ML capabilities as part of automation solution design and implementation.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with the Automation Anywhere (A360) RPA platform.
• Experience with process simulation, automation solution development, and/or business analysis.
• Familiarity with Intelligent Document Processing tools such as ABBYY or equivalent OCR/IDP technologies.
• Understanding of system integration concepts, including REST APIs, JSON, XML, authentication mechanisms, and error handling.
• Working knowledge of process engineering software systems.
• Ability to design and implement automation solutions using platforms such as Automation Anywhere, UiPath, or Power Automate.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and analyze data to recommend solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience analyzing workflows and identifying automation and process improvement opportunities.
• Ability to support multiple projects, tasks, and responsibilities concurrently.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and participation in Agile delivery teams.
• Commitment to compliance with organizational policies, security requirements, and change management practices.

Preferred Skills or Experience
• Experience integrating automation solutions with Azure AI services and/or Google Vertex AI.
• Experience or knowledge within the banking or financial services industry.
• Familiarity with cloud architectures and AI/ML service consumption patterns.
• Interest in emerging technologies and continuous improvement of automation solution design.
