A Shift - Rework Technician

Hands-on mechanical rework on vehicle interiors and exteriors, such as door panels, headliners, instrument panel components, steering wheels, seats, exterior body panels and rear hatch. No powertrain work, electrical diagnosis or repair.

• Review work orders before starting
• Inspect fit, alignment, gaps, surface condition
• Perform rework, remove and replace or refit components to specified requirements
• Use hand tools, trim-removal tools and torque equipment
• Protect paint, upholstery and trim during the rework
• Obtain second-person verification and document results
• Record defects, work performed, parts used and rework status
• Maintain activity reports
