The Business Development Associate I is a remote position - preference is close to Bridgend office as there will be days when you need to come on site (approx. once a month)

The Business Development Associate I serves as a critical commercial contributor responsible for leading the development, strategy, and execution of complex client proposals from initial opportunity assessment through contract award. Acting as the central coordinator across Business Development, Project Management, Operations, Finance, and Executive stakeholders, this role drives proposal quality, compliance, pricing accuracy, and competitive positioning to secure new business and achieve revenue growth objectives. The position requires independent decision-making, advanced project management skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization while managing multiple high-value opportunities simultaneously.

1.      Own and lead the end-to-end proposal development process for complex and strategic business opportunities, from initial client inquiry through proposal submission and contract award

2.      Develop, author, and manage proposals, statements of work, and commercial documentation that directly support company revenue objectives and business growth initiatives.

Manage document control, version tracking and final quality assurance checks to ensure submissions are complete, professionally presented and right first time.

4.      Lead cross-functional proposal teams consisting of operational, quality, regulatory, finance, and executive stakeholders to develop comprehensive client solutions within demanding timelines.

5.      Analyse Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements, study designs, and client objectives to develop competitive, compliant, and operationally executable service offerings.

6.      Evaluate operational strategies, resource requirements, and project scope to ensure proposed solutions align with organizational capabilities and business objectives.

7.      Develop project budgets, pricing models, and cost estimates by balancing profitability targets, resource utilization, client expectations, and competitive market dynamics.

8.      Serve as the primary point of contact for proposal-related communications between clients and internal stakeholders, facilitating discussions surrounding scope, assumptions, deliverables, pricing, and contractual requirements.

9.      Present proposal strategies, operational approaches, and commercial recommendations to prospective clients and internal leadership, supporting high-value business acquisition efforts.

10.   Drive accountability across cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of proposal deliverables and adherence to established quality standards.

11.   Maintain knowledge of PCI services, regulatory requirements, GCP, cGMP, client expectations, and organizational policies to support informed business decisions.
