As the Inside Sales Representative (ISR):

The role is primarily responsible for developing new sales opportunities for SafePaaS.

  • Develop new sales opportunities within agreed target accounts and markets.
  • Prospect and engage appropriate contacts through telephone, email, LinkedIn and other agreed channels.
  • Follow up marketing-generated leads, event contacts, website enquiries, partner introductions and other prospect activity.
  • Conduct initial discovery to establish business requirements, current environment, relevant stakeholders and potential SafePaaS fit.
  • Develop qualified opportunities and maintain appropriate next actions through the sales process.
  • Arrange and participate in prospect meetings, presentations and product demonstrations as required.
  • Maintain accurate account, contact, activity and opportunity information within Salesforce.
  • Maintain disciplined follow-up of prospects and developing opportunities.
  • Work with Marketing on agreed sales campaigns and initiatives, and provide feedback on prospect response, market requirements and opportunity development.
  • Develop and maintain sufficient knowledge of SafePaaS products, use cases and sales plays to communicate effectively with prospective customers.
  • Attend sales meetings and other company meetings as required.
  • Support SafePaaS events, exhibitions and other prospect-development activities as required.
  • Undertake other reasonable sales activities required to support company sales objectives.

Experience and Attributes

  • Inside sales experience within enterprise software or technology sales, with the ability to independently develop prospective customers into qualified sales opportunities.
  • Ability to plan and execute a structured approach to sales development.
  • Confident in communicating with business and technical contacts by telephone, email, video and social channels.
  • Ability to understand a prospect's business requirements and relate them to relevant SafePaaS capabilities.
  • Ability to interact effectively with Sales, Marketing, Product, Consulting and Support.
  • Self-motivated, with a disciplined approach to organizing sales activities, prospect follow-up and pipeline development.
  • Experience with enterprise applications, ERP [Enterprise Resource Planning], identity, governance, risk, audit or compliance would be advantageous.

Skills Required

Having been in the market space for over 10 years, SafePaaS still has a start-up culture that we value a lot. Good understanding of working in a start-up environment would be an added advantage

  • Office based sales experience, ideally a telesales person who wants to move up and have more individual responsibility for sales, while taking advantage of remote flexibility.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com, Linkedin Sales Navigator, and social media
  • Experience with modern sales tools.
  • A personal desire to achieve targets and career progression.

Performance Expectation

The role is measured primarily on the creation and development of qualified sales opportunities and resulting sales pipeline.

Once fully trained and operating at normal productivity, the expected level of performance is approximately four to six qualified opportunities per month, subject to the agreed SafePaaS opportunity qualification criteria and incentive plan.

Supporting measures will include prospect engagement, conversion, opportunity progression, follow-up discipline and accuracy of CRM information.

Activity levels are expected to support these outcomes but are not, by themselves, the principal measure of sales performance.
