Job Type Full-time Description Revenue Cycle AnalystRemote Position - Must Reside in CT, NY, NJ, or MA 

About the Position:

This position is responsible for maintaining accurate client financial records, processing payments, managing authorizations and insurance coverage information, and serving as a knowledgeable resource for billing-related inquiries. The Revenue Cycle Analyst partners closely with Admissions, Clinical, Utilization Review, Site Operations, and Revenue Cycle leadership to proactively identify and resolve billing issues, minimize financial barriers to care, and ensure exceptional customer service while maintaining confidentiality, regulatory compliance, and revenue integrity.

The Revenue Cycle Analyst serves as an advocate for clients by assisting them with understanding their financial responsibility, resolving insurance and billing concerns, and working collaboratively to identify solutions that support access to care. 

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Your Role:

  • Manage an assigned self-pay worklist from admission through final account resolution. 
  • Review and maintain accurate client financial records, including insurance coverage, authorizations, demographic information, and payment arrangements. 
  • Process payments, refunds, adjustments, and account corrections in accordance with organizational policies. 
  • Investigate and resolve self-pay balances, insurance discrepancies, payment issues, and billing inquiries in a timely manner. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding financial responsibility, payment options, insurance questions, and account resolution. 
  • Educate clients and families regarding payment pages, insurance benefits, patient responsibility, and available payment options. 
  • Monitor outstanding balances and perform proactive follow-up to reduce aging and improve collections. 
  • Review accounts for billing accuracy and identify opportunities to resolve issues before they impact reimbursement or the client experience. 
  • Ensure documentation within the billing system is accurate, complete, and reflects all account activity. 
  • Assist with reconciliation of payments, deposits, and financial transactions as assigned. 
  • Support audits and compliance initiatives by maintaining complete and accurate account documentation. 
  • Identify trends, recurring issues, and workflow opportunities, escalating concerns to leadership as appropriate.
  • Serve as a client advocate by helping individuals navigate insurance and financial concerns throughout their episode of care. 
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, insurance companies, and internal departments to remove financial barriers to treatment whenever possible. 
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly and professionally to client inquiries while maintaining empathy, confidentiality, and professionalism. 
  • Build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate timely issue resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare billing or revenue cycle management preferred.
  • Proficiency in billing systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve issues.
  • Knowledge of insurance billing regulations and payer guidelines preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to addiction and mental health treatment environments.

Compensation:

The base rate of pay for this position is $26.00 to $29.00 per hour. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
