OVERVIEW

We are looking for a regulatory affairs intern to assist with researching issues related to Skylo’s regulatory efforts around the world. The role will involve research and database creation for direct-to-device (D2D) Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) licensing issues and data privacy regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in international settings, experience developing and compiling databases, strong communication and writing skills to work with members of the regulatory team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct research on licensing and compliance requirements for direct-to-device (D2D) Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) in various countries where Skylo is authorized or is obtaining licenses.

• Conduct research on key data privacy policies and mandates regarding data retention and residency requirements, traffic landing requirements, legal intercept and KYC in in countries where Skylo is authorized or is obtaining authorization to provide service.

• Create and implement databases on key issues obtained from research and/or input from regulatory team members.

• Monitor regulatory trends regarding D2D NTN policies and regulations and communicate their potential impact on the company to the regulatory team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Student or recent graduate of an accredited four-year university.

• Experience creating and managing data bases, including using Excel or similar

spreadsheets.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong writing skills and attention to detail.

• Experience working on collaborative cross-functional teams.

Additional information

The compensation ranges for this position is: $30– $37/hour. These ranges reflects the low and high end of the range Skylo reasonably and generally expects to pay the hired candidate in this role.
