Principal Quantitative Analyst, Investment Performance Insights 

The Role 

As a Principal Quantitative Analyst within the Performance Measurement & Analysis Product Area, you will leverage investment performance, business, and market data to generate actionable insights that support key business partners, including Sales, Finance, Product, and Strategy. You will identify trends, discover opportunities, and develop data-driven recommendations that help inform strategic decision-making across Fidelity. 

The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, highly analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about transforming complex datasets into meaningful business insights. 

The Expertise and Skills You Bring 

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. 

• Demonstrated experience in quantitative analysis, investment analytics, business intelligence, or related field. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities, generate insights, and translate findings into recommendations. 

• Deep understanding of financial markets, the asset management industry, investor behavior, and Fidelity's business. 
• Knowledge of investment performance measurement, attribution, and analytics methodologies preferred. 
• Experience sourcing, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to support fact-based decision-making and measure business outcomes. 
• Working knowledge of statistical analysis and quantitative methodologies. 
• Experience writing SQL queries and working with Snowflake or similar cloud-based data platforms preferred. 
• Strong communication and data visualization skills, with the ability to effectively present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
• Experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Python, or similar platforms is a plus. 

The Team 

You will be a member of a small team within the Performance Measurement and Analysis Product Area tasked with generating unique and actionable insights from the vast set of performance and related datasets. In this role, you will partner closely with Product, Sales, Strategy, Finance, and Data teams across multiple Fidelity business units to identify opportunities, answer critical business questions, and drive data-informed decision-making. 

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
