Senior Technical Project Manager I

The Technology Financial Operations role within Technology is responsible for helping to operationalize the financial planning function within Portfolio Enablement and give input to the creation of the financial plan, to maximize the success of strategic, transformational and operational efforts to drive maximum value to the business. This role will analyze; plan and present financial information related to the Technology Portfolio back to FIN and Technology leadership. This role collaborates to build capacity, resource and cost models to support portfolio decisions, provide insightful recommendations, and glean ideas for process improvement. The Technology Financial Operations role is an operational planner role that connects the financial side of the CDW enterprise strategy to the technology team’s delivery model.  This role reports to the Senior Manager, Portfolio Enablement and interacts regularly with Finance Business Partner, the Portfolio Management team, Vendor Management Office, Program Management Office, and Technology leadership. 

What you will do:  

• Provide timely and accurate financial reports, analysis, and recommendations to technology leaders.  
• Assist in developing the financial plan for technology, including forecasting.  
• Create operational financial reports for TE&S to optimize resource allocation and utilization.  
• Build strong partnerships with internal customers and cross-functional teams.  
• Prepare analysis to support technology projects and organizational growth.  
• Recommend improvements for reporting and analysis processes.  
• Support system capacity and resource planning, as well as cost modeling.

What we expect of you:  

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years previous finance experience.  Or 9 Years of previous finance experience  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.  
• Demonstrated strong knowledge of finance concepts, principles and practices, and the ability to apply them to a portfolio of work and resources.  
• Strong analytical skills.  
• Demonstrated organization and planning skills with critical attention to detail.  
• Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.  
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft office applications with solid experience in Excel and PowerBi  
• Demonstrated ability to effectively present data to stakeholders for full scenario understanding.  
• Track record of identifying process improvements and making appropriate recommendations.  
• Strong consensus building abilities with stakeholders.  
• Understanding of GAAP and Non-GAAP accounting concepts (e.g., NGOI, CAPEX and OPEX planning)  
• Working knowledge of financial software tools such as PeopleSoft, Essbase, and Hyperion.  
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow (SAFe, Intake and PM modules beneficial), is a plus.   
• MBA, a plus.  
• CPA, a plus.  
• Lean Six Sigma Certification, a plus.  
• Lean Portfolio Management, a plus.   
• SAFe Agile practices, a plus.  
• Preferred experience within a Technology Company, a plus.  

Pay range: $100,000 - $138,000 depending on experience and skill set 
Annual bonus target of 5% subject to terms and conditions of plan
