Job description

Turn new provider engagements into lasting partnerships

You play a critical role in turning provider engagement into measurable growth. As a Provider Development Specialist, you serve as an extension of the field sales organization, building on the momentum created through new account introductions, in-services, and educational events. Your focus is to convert newly engaged providers into active ordering accounts, increase utilization among existing providers, and re-engage providers who have stopped ordering.

In this role, you’ll proactively follow up with providers, identify opportunities for growth, and drive continued adoption.  Through consistent outreach, you’ll help providers move from initial interest to first order—and from first order to sustained utilization. You’ll also maintain relationships with existing providers to uncover opportunities for increased engagement and reconnect with lost ordering providers to bring them back into active use.

This is a proactive, growth-oriented sales role. Success is measured by your ability to activate providers, generate repeat ordering behavior, increase utilization, and strengthen provider relationships over time. By creating consistent engagement after the initial field sales interaction, you help maximize each opportunity and contribute directly to expanding access to sleep and respiratory care.

Your ability to listen, understand needs, and provide actionable guidance not only strengthens provider confidence but also contributes to Resmed’s mission of changing lives through connected health.

  • Guide providers and office staff through the process of submitting their first order.
  • Remove barriers to adoption and ensure providers feel confident in utilizing our services.
  • Follow up after 1st order has been placed and completed to check how the process went and try to secure 2nd order

Provider Growth & Retention

  • Conduct monthly outreach to active ordering providers to:
  • Strengthen relationships.
  • Understand utilization trends and opportunities.
  • Identify additional providers or locations that may benefit from our services.
  • Increase ordering frequency and overall account growth.

Lost Account Recovery

  • Contact inactive or lost ordering providers to:
  • Understand reasons for disengagement.
  • Identify service gaps or barriers to ordering.
  • Gather market intelligence and competitive insights.
  • Develop strategies to re-engage and reactivate accounts.

Sales Partnership

  • Collaborate closely with Territory Managers to:
    • Share provider feedback and market intelligence.
    • Identify opportunities for additional education and support.
    • Develop account-specific growth strategies.
    • Ensure a seamless transition from initial engagement to ongoing utilization.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of experience in customer experience or sales support within home medical equipment, respiratory, or sleep diagnostic environments
  • Proven ability to build relationships with healthcare professionals and office staff

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach
  • Skilled at working across multiple systems and platforms with speed and accuracy
  • Resourcefulness, accountability, and initiative to handle challenges and follow through
  • Familiarity with DME operations, healthcare workflows, or similar is preferred but not mandatory

What Sets You Apart
