Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technology Project Manager to support high-visibility technology initiatives within a large, complex financial services environment.

This position is ideal for a Project Manager who understands both the business and technology sides of project delivery and has experience working within highly matrixed organizations. The Project Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining project plans, managing dependencies, identifying and mitigating risks, tracking issues, and coordinating resources across multiple business and technology teams.

Financial services experience is a key priority for this position. Experience managing cloud or technology-related projects is also highly desirable. Candidates do not need to be cloud engineers or deeply technical, but should be comfortable working with technology teams and discussing cloud initiatives at a project-management level.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones, scope, resource requirements, and critical-path activities.

• Identify, track, and manage project risks, issues, actions, and dependencies.

• Lead technology projects through planning, implementation, testing, release, and delivery.

• Coordinate business and technology resources within a highly matrixed environment.

• Proactively identify cross-project dependencies and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.

• Manage project status, metrics, change control, QA/testing coordination, and implementation activities.

• Partner with business leaders, technology teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.

• Facilitate project meetings and communicate status, risks, issues, and decisions to stakeholders and leadership.

• Adapt project plans and priorities as business and technology requirements evolve.

• Build strong relationships across project teams and create a collaborative working environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.

• 5–7+ years of technology project management experience. More senior Project Managers with 10+ years of relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.

• Financial services experience strongly preferred and considered a key qualification.

• Experience managing technology and/or cloud-related projects.

• Proven experience managing project schedules, dependencies, risks, issues, scope, and resources.

• Experience successfully delivering complex, full lifecycle technology projects.

• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Experience working with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

• Proficiency with tools such as MS Project, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Excel.

• Strong experience working within matrixed organizations involving multiple business and technology teams.

• Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical, business, and leadership audiences.

• Ability to work independently while also operating effectively as part of a collaborative team.

• Comfortable facilitating meetings and leading discussions with large groups.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting technology initiatives within banking, payments, capital markets, or another financial services environment.

• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure and cloud transformation initiatives.

• Understanding of DevOps and continuous testing concepts. Deep hands-on DevOps expertise is not required.

• PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP, or similar project management/Agile certification.

This position supports a highly regulated financial services environment and will require successful completion of applicable background and security screening requirements.

Candidates must meet applicable U.S. work authorization and residency requirements for the engagement. Additional eligibility requirements may apply to individuals who have previously worked as contractors within the organization.
