Job description

About the team

Studio Z is Zillow's in-house creative agency — a full-service creative, content, strategy, and production team that drives Zillow's brand forward across every channel while operating at the high-stakes intersection of brand storytelling and real-time culture. The team is small, highly skilled, and deeply collaborative — working alongside copywriters, art directors, and brand partners to make content that earns attention rather than buying it. They move at the speed of social, obsess over platform nuance, and build work that immerses the Zillow brand in culture. This is a team for people who take the internet seriously and love the craft of creating for it.

About the role

We are looking for an inventive, high-execution hybrid creator-strategist who lives at the intersection of culture, community, and content. You are comfortable both behind the camera directing and editing, and in front of the camera as a face and voice for the Zillow brand.

In this role, you will help bring Zillow's social strategy to life within our fast-moving creative team. Driven by quick-thinking creative instincts and strong initiative within defined priorities, you know what matters right now, why it matters, and how Zillow can show up in ways that feel timely, additive, and culturally relevant. You will be a core contributor to Zillow's growing social presence, applying agile production tools, iterating on recurring content formats, and helping translate real-time cultural moments into engaging brand creative.

Key Responsibilities

  • On-Camera Brand Representation: When needed, act as a confident, charismatic, and authentic on-camera host, talent, and storyteller for Zillow’s social channels, representing the brand at events, in real-time trends, and across recurring video series.
  • Real-Time & Cultural Listening: Monitor digital subcultures, platform trends, and real-time conversations to identify strategic opportunities for Zillow to participate with low friction and high taste, applying data-driven insights to inform storytelling.
  • Agile Production & Tool Application: Concept, script, shoot, edit, and publish platform-native content quickly—applying proven workflows and modern tools (including AI) with a constant eye for efficiency improvements.
  • Series Iteration & Execution: Contribute to and iterate on recurring social series and content formats, helping turn established narrative themes into engaging, long-term audience moments.
  • Framework Alignment & Process: Execute against established production frameworks and agile guardrails, contributing ideas to refine and improve team execution over time.
  • Cross-Functional Execution: Coordinate closely with internal Production, Social, Brand, PR, and Legal partners on production logistics and approvals to ensure smooth, timely publishing.
  • Platform Mastery: Maintain deep fluency across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Meta, and emerging platforms—understanding how tone, algorithms, and audience behaviors shift in real time.
