Job Title: Sr Microsoft Engineer - Azure/Intune
Location: Remote - US

Pay Rate: $75-85/hr 1099 / C2C
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer with expertise in Microsoft technologies, cloud infrastructure, and endpoint management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and supporting enterprise Microsoft environments, including Azure, Intune, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, and related technologies. This role will focus on maintaining secure, scalable, and efficient IT systems while driving modernization and cloud adoption initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Infrastructure & Cloud Administration
- Design, deploy, and maintain Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud services.
- Manage Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, Azure AD, and security services.
- Monitor cloud resources and optimize performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
- Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
Endpoint Management
- Administer and support Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager environments.
- Configure and deploy device compliance policies, configuration profiles, and application deployments.
- Manage Windows Autopilot provisioning and lifecycle management.
- Ensure endpoint security, patch management, and device compliance standards.
Microsoft 365 Administration
- Manage Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
- Support identity and access management through Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Implement and manage Conditional Access, MFA, and Zero Trust security principles.
- Troubleshoot user access, collaboration, and productivity platform issues.
Systems Administration
- Administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Maintain server infrastructure, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Perform system upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities.
Security & Compliance
- Implement and maintain Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, and security best practices.
- Monitor and remediate vulnerabilities across servers, endpoints, and cloud resources.
- Assist with audits, compliance initiatives, and security assessments.
- Develop and maintain system documentation and operational procedures.
Support & Collaboration
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and resolution of complex infrastructure issues.
- Partner with engineering, security, and business teams to deliver technology solutions.
- Participate in on-call support and incident response activities as required.
- Mentor junior IT staff and provide technical leadership on projects.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure administration and services.
- Experience administering Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager.
- Expertise with Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server.
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and identity management.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

- Microsoft certifications such as:
- Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102)
- Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert (MS-102)
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
- Experience with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and security tools.
- Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management frameworks.
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments.
