Clear Credential: $79,500/year - $100,700/year
Preliminary Credential: $68,900/year
Intern Credential: $66,144/year

How You Will Make an Impact
The Online Teacher serves as the primary teacher, academic coach, advocate, and point of contact for an assigned roster of students in a personalized online learning environment. The Online Teacher provides instruction, academic advising, coaching, progress monitoring, intervention support, and regular communication to help students remain engaged, complete coursework, earn credits, meet graduation requirements, and progress toward post-secondary goals. In partnership with students, families, instructional staff, counselors, administrators, Student Success Teams, Special Education, English Learner Services, Operations, and other support staff, the Online Teacher develops and maintains individualized academic plans, coordinates appropriate supports and services, connects students with resources, and helps ensure students are accurately scheduled, appropriately supported, and making progress toward successful completion. This position reports to the Principal or designee.

Student Success, Academic Coaching, and Advising
- Establish and maintain positive, supportive, and professional relationships with students and families through ongoing communication and engagement.
- Provide instruction, academic coaching, advising, feedback, and guidance to support student learning, engagement, course completion, academic achievement, and progress toward graduation and post-secondary goals.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and update individualized academic plans using transcripts, academic records, assessment information, graduation requirements, and student goals to support academic success and educational planning.
- Monitor student attendance, engagement, academic performance, course activity, credit attainment, and graduation progress; identify barriers to success and develop or coordinate appropriate interventions and support strategies.
- Evaluate student work, provide timely feedback, conduct student and family conferences as appropriate, and promote student ownership, accountability, persistence, and self-advocacy.
- Support course placement, enrollment, progression, completion, and educational transitions to ensure students remain appropriately scheduled and on track toward completion of individualized academic goals Student Support & Collaboration
- Advocate for students by identifying academic, attendance, engagement, behavioral, social-emotional, and other barriers that may impact success and coordinating appropriate supports and services.
- Collaborate with students, families, instructional staff, counselors, administrators, Student Success Teams, Special Education, English Learner Services, Operations, and other appropriate personnel to support student achievement, engagement, and overall success.
- Participate in student support processes, including SST, IEP, Section 504, and other meetings and activities, as appropriate, and contribute information necessary to support collaborative decision-making and student outcomes.
- Support implementation of accommodations, modifications, language supports, interventions, referrals, and other educational supports within the scope of the Online Teacher role.
- Promote an inclusive, culturally responsive, student-centered learning environment while maintaining high expectations for student achievement and growth.
- Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, student privacy, and mandated reporting responsibilities in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures. Documentation, Compliance & Professional Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete student records and documentation within designated educational systems and platforms.
- Monitor, document, and report student attendance, engagement, academic performance, interventions, and progress in accordance with school requirements, independent study requirements, accountability expectations, and applicable regulations.
- Administer, coordinate, and/or support required assessments, testing activities, and related student preparation and participation efforts as assigned.
- Utilize approved educational technology, communication platforms, student information systems, learning management systems, and other tools necessary to perform assigned responsibilities effectively.
- Participate in required meetings, professional learning communities, professional development activities, trainings, and collaborative initiatives that support student success and continuous improvement.
- Maintain current knowledge of educational practices, graduation requirements, instructional technology, student privacy requirements, school policies, and other requirements relevant to the position.
- Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, effective communication, sound judgment, flexibility, initiative, and collaboration in interactions with students, families, colleagues, and community partners.
