Department of Revenue is recruiting for an IT Project Manager (Information Systems Specialist 7) position. We are looking for a talented, detail-oriented individual to join our Information Technologies  Division in the Project Management Office. This position is headquartered in our Salem office; however, the successful candidate may be eligible for in-state hybrid work. Hybrid work consists of performing duties onsite in a standard office environment and working remotely.

What You Will Be Doing

Below is a sampling of job duties. It is not meant to encompass all duties.

• Manages a variety of sizes of IT projects including those with large agency-wide impact, from initial design through implementation, including scope definition, resource planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, change control, and contractor oversight.
• Responsible for scope and resource planning and utilization; activity definition, sequencing, and duration estimating; developing and managing project budgets; team development; managing schedules and timelines; reporting progress; reporting status of deliverables and milestones; coordination and oversight of all project resources, including IT technical staff, agency customers and contract personnel.
• Coordinates with other ITS project managers and coordinators to ensure that project resources are effectively and efficiently used; and, full responsibility for business requirements, scope management, change control, issues logs, testing, risk identification and management, quality assurance, and verification and validation of new systems
• Ensures projects are approved; project documentation is completed along with regular Progress Reports on projects based on the Project Management Standards.
• Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies, builds professional networks, and recommends innovative solutions to support agency and enterprise goals.

This Is What You Need To Qualify
(a) Six (6) years of information systems experience in:
managing or coordinating IT related projects applying project management principles;

OR
(b) An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field; AND four (4) years of information systems experience in:
managing or coordinating IT related projects applying project management principles;

OR
(c) A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
AND two (2) years of information systems experience in:
managing or coordinating IT related projects applying project management principles;

OR
(d) Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field may substitute for all of the above.

The ideal candidate will possess the following desired skills and attributes:

• Experienced in Azure DevOps/Jira or equivalent tool.
• Experienced in Project Web App or similar tools.
• Excellent Problem-solving skills.
• Excellent Communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively.

• This is a SEIU-represented position. This recruitment may be used to fill additional vacancies as they occur.
• The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect an additional 6.95%.
