HR Generalist II

Agile Space Industries is a rapidly growing supplier of propulsion hardware and engineering services for the space industry. This role can be onsite or remote, and we are currently accepting candidates residing in Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, Washington, Utah, Texas and Oklahoma. You MUST live and work from one these states to work remotely for Agile Space Industries.   

Responsibilities

Leave, benefits, and workplace compliance

• Administer employee leave processes, including requests involving FMLA and other applicable leave requirements; coordinate documentation, tracking, communication, and return-to-work steps
• Coordinate the interactive process for accommodation requests, partnering with the Director of HR on complex matters.
• Administer workers’ compensation processes in coordination with employees, managers, insurers, and other partners.
• Coordinate HR responsibilities related to OSHA requirements and workplace safety records in partnership with the appropriate internal teams.
• Prepare benefits information and materials, support benefits administration activities, and partner with the Director of HR on escalated questions and decisions.
• Monitor applicable employment requirements across the states where Agile operates and help translate changes into practical HR processes.

Training, systems, and audits

• Own the administration of compliance training and the learning management system (LMS), including assignments, completion tracking, reporting, and follow-up.
• Improve training workflows and support the evaluation or implementation of LMS tools as needs evolve.
• Own HRIS system and process administration, including workflows, controls, reporting, and opportunities to improve data integrity.
• Conduct or support audits of I-9 and E-Verify records, personnel files, employee changes, and payroll-related records in partnership with the HR team members responsible for those processes.
• Document procedures, identify process gaps, and implement improvements that support accurate, consistent HR operations.

HR team partnership

• Respond to employee and manager questions within the scope of this role and route sensitive or complex matters to the appropriate HR partner.
• Support HR initiatives, workforce planning, and culture activities as needed.
• Partner with the Director of HR and the HR Generalist responsible for the employee lifecycle to clarify handoffs and maintain a consistent employee experience.
• Other duties as assigned 

Requirements

• At least 2 years of progressive HR generalist, HR operations, or related experience, including direct responsibility for leave administration or employment compliance.
• Working knowledge of FMLA, accommodation processes, workers’ compensation, and HR recordkeeping.
• Experience administering an HRIS and coordinating required training through an LMS or similar system.
• Experience supporting employees and HR processes across multiple states.
• Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information, maintain accurate records, and communicate clearly with employees and managers.
• Experience improving HR workflows, documenting processes, or supporting an organization through growth.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a larger organization that has scaled or changed its HR operations.
• Experience participating in an LMS implementation or major system transition.
• Experience with Cornerstone and Paylocity.
• Experience with benefits administration, HR compliance audits, or payroll processes.

Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Salary: $72,000 - $95,000 annually.  The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
