EPD & LCA Intern for a Sustainability SaaS

One Click LCA is looking for a motivated EPD & LCA Resource Specialist / Intern (part-time or full-time) for a 6-month internship to join our global EPD team. In this role, you will play a central part in building, organizing, and maintaining crucial knowledge resources, tools, and technical documentation used both internally by our consultant teams and externally by our global customer base.

This position is ideal for a recent graduate or current university student in environmental engineering, sustainability, or related fields who wants hands-on exposure to EPDs, LCA software, and sustainable construction practices.

One Click LCA is a global provider of life cycle assessment (LCA) software, helping the construction and built environment industry measure, manage, and reduce their environmental impact. Our tools and databases support carbon footprinting, green building certification, and the creation of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for manufacturers worldwide. We work with a diverse, international team that is passionate about sustainability and making credible environmental data accessible and actionable.

This is a fixed-term (6-month) remote internship open to candidates based in EMEA, available on either a part-time or full-time basis.

What you will do:

• Support the creation and maintenance of internal resources such as templates and constructions

• Help build checklists, external-facing guidance documents and FAQs for the above resources

• Assist with cross-checks of references, data collection and quality checks for LCA and EPD-related content.

• Support consultants with research, formatting, and administrative tasks tied to EPD projects and deliverables.

• Help identify gaps or outdated information in existing resources and propose improvements.

• Collaborate with team members across time zones, incorporating feedback to improve resource quality and usability.

What you need:

• Education: Current university student or recent graduate in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Materials Science, or a related field.

• Language: Fluent English (written and spoken) is strictly required as it is our working language. Additional languages are a plus.

• Technical interest: Basic foundational knowledge or a strong interest in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), or decarbonization of the built environment.

• Soft skills: Meticulous attention to detail, structured thinking, strong written communication skills, and the ability to explain complex technical ideas clearly.

• Tech savviness: Comfortable working with databases, documentation platforms, and learning new software rapidly.

Nice to have, but not strictly required:

• Prior familiarity with LCA standards (e.g., EN 15804, ISO 14040/44, ISO 14025, TRACI, or CML).

• Academic or practical experience with LCA software tools.

• Basic understanding of building materials and manufacturing supply chains.
