Training & Adoption SME

The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking an experienced Training & Adoption Subject Matter Expert to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of the Inspector General (OIG). As a Training & Adoption SME, you will lead the development and execution of comprehensive training strategies that translate complex AI and data analytics capabilities into practical, mission-focused skills. You will create engaging training content tailored to diverse user workflows—from investigators analyzing hotline complaints to auditors identifying fraud patterns—and measure adoption to ensure technology investments deliver tangible mission value. Responsibilities:

- Lead development and execution of enterprise-wide user adoption and training strategies for AI, data analytics platforms, and mission applications across DHS OIG

- Design and implement adoption measurement frameworks, including metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to track usage patterns and identify intervention opportunities

- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for OIGChat, Azure data platform tools, AI-assisted analysis, and emerging capabilities

- Create diverse training products including short-form videos, quick reference guides, user adoption kits, role-based curricula, and workflow-specific tutorials

- Develop practical, plain-language prompting guides, FAQs, troubleshooting resources, and release notes tailored to investigative, audit, inspection, and counsel workflows

- Facilitate live training sessions, office hours, and hands-on workshops to support users at varying proficiency levels

- Develop train-the-trainer materials and programs to build internal training capacity and enable program-office champions

- Monitor post-deployment adoption trends, conduct user assessments, and maintain continuous feedback loops to inform training refinements and product backlog priorities

- Collaborate with Government stakeholders, Product Owners, and technical teams to align training content with feature releases and mission priorities

- Partner with User Engagement Specialists to integrate training delivery with Community of Practice activities and ambassador programs


Qualifications:

Required: 

- Bachelor's degree + 10 years of experience in instructional design, training development, adult learning, user adoption, or related field; equivalencies considered (Master's + 7 years; 16 years with no degree; AA + 12 years)

- Proven experience designing and delivering training programs for complex enterprise technology platforms or data analytics tools

- Demonstrated expertise in instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and multi-modal content development (video, written, hands-on)

- Strong ability to translate technical concepts into clear, workflow-oriented training for non-technical audiences

- Experience developing adoption metrics, measurement frameworks, and data-driven approaches to assess training effectiveness


Desired:

- Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain additional accesses as required

- Experience training users on AI tools, large language models, data visualization platforms (e.g., Databricks, Power BI, Tableau), or analytics environments

- Background in federal government, law enforcement, investigative, audit, or inspector general environments with understanding of oversight mission workflows

- Familiarity with Agile development practices, change management methodologies, and user-centered design principles

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
