Job description

Role Summary

HubSpot Academy is on a mission to be the place people go to learn how to start and grow a business. We offer a variety of educational and inspirational content — from lessons and full certification courses to live, hands-on workshops — that provides valuable business training to people all over the world. This educational content generates new customers for the business and delights our existing ones in service of achieving their business and career goals.

We're looking for a Professional HubSpot Academy Professor - Coach who is passionate about helping customers confidently use HubSpot tools through live, hands-on small group coaching sessions. This role is ideal for someone who shows growing independence and proficiency in live facilitation and content creation, effectively applying skills to enhance customer outcomes while contributing to HubSpot's educational mission at scale.

As a Professional HubSpot Academy Professor - Coach at HubSpot Academy, you'll be responsible for developing and delivering live, small group coaching sessions focused on specific HubSpot tools and use cases, as well as creating supporting on-demand educational content. You'll design engaging workshop experiences and practical learning resources that solve real customer problems, drive product adoption, and support long-term usage of HubSpot products. The role requires good understanding of adult learning principles, live facilitation skills, content creation abilities, and comprehensive knowledge of HubSpot's product offerings, as well as a passion for crafting hands-on learning experiences that deliver measurable impact at scale.

This role sits on the HubSpot Academy team and reports to the Manager of HubSpot Academy Education. You'll work alongside other Academy Professors and Customer Evangelists to develop comprehensive educational strategies that align with HubSpot's business objectives and support customers at scale.

What you'll do:

Facilitate High-Impact Small Group Coaching Sessions:

  • Lead multiple live, interactive coaching sessions each week for groups of customers focused on specific HubSpot tools, features, or use cases (e.g., Advanced CRM, Marketing Automation, Customer Agent, Loop Marketing plays)
  • Run sessions in alignment with standardized agendas and learning objectives while adapting to the needs and questions of each cohort in real-time
  • Demonstrate growing expertise in facilitating workshops where customers work on their real HubSpot challenges and leave having configured something concrete in their portal
  • Create supportive learning environments where customers feel comfortable asking questions, sharing use cases, and learning from peers

Create Supporting On-Demand Content:

  • Develop short educational videos, workbooks, and guides that complement small group coaching topics and enable customers to review key concepts
  • Create practical resources that customers can reference when implementing what they learned during coaching sessions
  • Design follow-up materials that reinforce session learning and support continued product adoption
  • Collaborate with Instructional Designers and content creators to ensure cohesive learning experiences across live and on-demand formats

Drive Product Adoption and Usage Uplift:

  • Design sessions and supporting content so customers leave with actionable next steps and concrete configurations in their HubSpot portals
  • Partner cross-functionality to understand which specific actions and sessions drive the largest usage movement
  • Refine content and facilitation approaches based on data showing what drives measurable customer outcomes
  • Track how coaching sessions contribute to customer activation, feature adoption, and ongoing product usage

Collaborate Cross-Functionally:

  • Work closely with Academy, Product, Creative, and Marketing teams to align session topics with product launches, spotlight moments, and strategic initiatives (e.g., AI adoption, Loop Marketing, Customer Agent)
  • Provide structured feedback to Product and leadership on what customers are saying and where they're getting stuck
  • Ensure coaching insights inform product roadmap and enablement priorities
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to develop educational strategies aligned with business goals

Maintain Operational Excellence:

  • Ensure accurate logging of sessions and attendance via Bevy and HubSpot systems, partnering with operations teams to resolve data integrity issues
  • Follow established workflows for customer inquiries about registration, scheduling, or follow-up questions
  • Use tools like Asana, AirTable, and Google Suite to coordinate session planning, content development, and track key metrics
  • Monitor registration and attendance patterns to optimize session timing, topics, and promotional approaches

Continuously Improve Content and Experience:

  • Iterate on session content, flow, and activities based on NPS, CSAT, qualitative feedback, and performance metrics (attendance, usage impact, repeat attendance)
  • Collect session feedback to continuously improve both live facilitation and supporting on-demand content
  • Experiment with new formats (e.g., "Build With" sessions, customer guest speakers, region-specific variants)
  • Share insights with the broader team to enhance the small group coaching program and on-demand content library

What you'll bring:

Required Qualifications

  • Fluency in French and Portuguese
  • You have demonstrated experience leading live trainings, workshops, or group sessions (virtual or in-person) where you taught, demoed, and troubleshooted on the fly.
  • You possess exceptional facilitation and communication skills—you can read a room, simplify complex topics, and keep diverse audiences engaged and on track.
  • You have strong product aptitude and quickly learn new features, connecting them to real-world customer use cases across Marketing, Sales, and Service workflows.
  • You effectively communicate and collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to align on coaching objectives and customer needs.
  • You're energized by scale—reaching hundreds or thousands of customers through repeatable experiences—and see group coaching as core to the future of customer education.
  • You're customer-obsessed and empathetic, able to meet customers where they are in their journey, even when they're just beginning with advanced features.
  • You comfortably adjust to changing priorities in a fast-evolving environment where programs, tools, and processes are being optimized, and you actively contribute to improvements.
  • You can craft well-structured written content for workbooks, guides, and supporting materials that enhance learning experiences.
  • You independently explore and suggest innovative approaches to coaching and content creation, experimenting with new facilitation techniques and formats.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working directly with HubSpot (as a user, partner, or prior HubSpotter), especially across multiple Hubs
  • Experience facilitating global customer audiences across time zones
  • Familiarity with event platforms, and/or prior experience in scaled programs or live onboarding
  • Experience creating short-form video content or educational materials
