📌 About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who loves building application code and scalable distributed systems. You'll build the supporting infrastructure for hundreds of thousands of installations of our desktop app and browser extensions, giving customers and internal teams the visibility and tools they need to monitor fleet health and troubleshoot issues. You'll work across our Django backend and NextJS frontend to ship reliable, end-to-end product experiences.

🛠️ What You'll Do

• Design and build infrastructure to monitor the health and reliability of our desktop app and browser extension fleet

• Build customer-facing and internal health dashboards and monitoring tools that make issues easy to identify and investigate

• Build and ship full-stack features across our Python/Django backend and NextJS frontend

• Work with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Celery to support reliable, scalable background processing

• Partner with engineering and customer-facing teams to turn real-world deployment challenges into useful tools

• Deploy and operate systems in AWS via Terraform, bringing engineering best practices to code quality, system design, and monitoring

🔍 What We're Looking For

• You have 5+ years of engineering experience

• You're comfortable working with Python (especially Django) and relational databases

• You're comfortable working with React (NextJS / TypeScript)

• You can turn complex system behavior into clear, actionable tools for technical and nontechnical users

• You use AI as part of your everyday engineering work

• You've seen and can implement engineering best practices

✨ Nice to have

• Experience building monitoring, observability, or diagnostic tools for distributed systems

• Experience supporting desktop apps, browser extensions, or large fleets of client installations

• Experience with Celery for executing and scheduling background tasks

• Startup experience

💰 Compensation

Salary varies by location. All full-time employees receive equity in Scribe. Final offers depend on experience and scope.
