Position Summary

SHR Consulting Group is seeking a Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure supporting enterprise applications and services. The position works within cloud-based environments, primarily Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and coordinates with cloud, security, DevSecOps, application development, and operations teams to maintain secure, reliable connectivity across development, testing, staging, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support configuration, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise and cloud network infrastructure. 
• Support Google Cloud Platform (GCP) networking and connectivity for applications, services, and environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity, routing, DNS, firewall rules, load balancing, certificates, network segmentation, and related services. 
• Coordinate network requirements and changes with infrastructure, security, cloud, application, and DevSecOps teams.
• Support application migrations, integrations, environment builds, releases, and deployments by identifying and resolving network dependencies. 
• Monitor network availability, performance, capacity, and connectivity and troubleshoot outages and performance degradation. 
• Support incident response and root cause analysis for network-related service interruptions. 
• Implement network configurations consistent with enterprise architecture, security, and configuration-management requirements. 
• Maintain network diagrams, configuration documentation, implementation procedures, and other technical artifacts. 
• Participate in Agile/SAFe planning, sprint activities, technical working sessions, and change-control activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise network environments. 
• Experience with cloud networking, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, network segmentation, and troubleshooting. 
• Experience supporting highly available, secure enterprise applications and infrastructure. 
• Experience operating within formal configuration and change-management processes. 

• Relevant cloud or networking certifications preferred.

Certifications:

• One relevant networking or cloud certification (Required)
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Network Engineer; CCNA; CCNP Enterprise; CompTIA Network+; Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer (Preferred)

Clearance Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship.
• Public Trust Clearance
