The Project Manager, Strategic Planning & Execution is part of AMP’s centralized enablement function and is responsible for the day-to-day management and successful delivery of complex multi-year projects, involving stakeholders from mechanical engineering, facility operations, installation, supply chain and other cross-functional teams, from initiation through closeout. This role serves as the primary point of accountability for project execution, ensuring the project remains on schedule, within budget and scope, and aligned with project and organizational requirements. A key focus of the role is ensuring all contractual obligations, milestones, and deliverables are clearly understood, tracked, and successfully completed.

The Project Manager, Strategic Planning & Execution works across functional and organizational boundaries to drive execution, establish accountability, manage interdependencies, and maintain transparency into project health. The role applies standardized PMO methodologies, governance processes, tools, and best practices to ensure consistent, effective, and successful project delivery. 

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day project outcomes of a complex, high-visibility project through all phases of the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closeout.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable contractual, regulatory, and organizational compliance requirements throughout project execution by proactively identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating contract-related risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, while maintaining compliance oversight and supporting timely resolution of contractual obligations.
• Effectively manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies and outcomes.
• Drive execution across cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and workstreams to achieve project commitments and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and performance measures.
• Monitor and report project health, including progress, KPIs, budget, schedule, risks, issues, and key decisions.
• Ensure project change control is applied, assessing impact and ensuring approved changes are documented, communicated, and incorporated into project plans.
• Facilitate and document project meetings, stakeholder discussions, and decision-making sessions.
• Apply PMO standards, methodologies, tools, and governance requirements, including stage gates and documentation standards. This includes maintaining accurate project documentation, records, decision logs, RAID logs, and project repositories.
• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery, tools, processes, and stakeholder adoption.

• Project Management Expertise: Extensive experience successfully leading complex projects throughout the full project lifecycle in an industrial, manufacturing, engineering environment.
• Project Planning & Execution: Advanced proficiency in developing and managing integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, and resource requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Compliance & Controls: Advanced expertise in analyzing, communicating, tracking, and managing contractual, regulatory, and organizational requirements while ensuring compliance and governance adherence.
• Problem Solving & Decision Making: Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve complex project challenges and provide actionable recommendations
• Stakeholder Management: Build alignment and maintain effective relationships with project sponsors, functional leaders, and project teams. 
• Communication: Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. 
• Performance Management & Reporting: Ability to develop KPIs, assess project health, identify trends, and provide clear status reporting.
• Technology & Tools: Proficiency with project management, collaboration, reporting, and documentation tools. 

Required Qualifications:

• Certification(s): Project Management Professional (PMP) strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of project management experience, with demonstrated ownership of complex, multi-year, cross-functional projects, including experience managing CapEx projects and contractual deliverables within an industrial, manufacturing, and engineering environment.
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Smartsheets, Google Workspace, MS Suite to plan, track, manage and report project progress and resources.
• Experience working with Construction, Installation, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance and Legal teams.

Project sites may not be climate controlled and may include noise, dust, moving equipment, uneven surfaces, elevated work areas, and other typical industrial hazards. While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, communicate effectively, and occasionally lift or move up to 45 pounds. Appropriate personal protective equipment and compliance with all site-safety requirements are mandatory.
