Commercial Contracts Analyst
Russell Tobin is partnering with a leading
life sciences organization to identify a
Commercial Contracts Analyst II for a remote opportunity supporting a Data, Digital, and Analytics team.
Additional Details:
- Location model: South San Francisco, CA – Remote
- Schedule: Pacific Time, generally 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Position Type: 12-month contract with potential to extend
- Pay range approved: $36/hr - $ 46/hr depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for contract, amendment, PO, vendor classification, and invoicing questions.
- Review requests and determine whether they qualify for self-service or require full-service contract support.
- Process market research and data purchase contracts while ensuring compliance with contract terms, data privacy, and applicable requirements.
- Support contract intake and processing through contract management systems.
- Act as a super user and provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders.
- Manage timely creation, issuance, and tracking of Purchase Orders.
- Partner with Finance and Accounts Payable to resolve PO and invoice discrepancies and support timely payments.
- Monitor contract workflows, identify delays, and coordinate resolutions with stakeholders or IT.
- Identify opportunities to improve contracting processes, templates, and workflows.
- Collaborate with Procurement and Contract Management teams to support operational improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 5–10 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience in contract management, procurement, compliance, paralegal support, or related areas.
- Experience with commercial contracts, preferably market research, data purchase, digital, or technology agreements.
- Working knowledge of Purchase Orders, invoicing, billing, and financial processes.
- Strong communication, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with contracting systems, cloud-based applications, and online collaboration tools.
