Test Engineer (Enterprise Heat Project)

We are seeking a Test Engineer to join our team and contribute to the Enterprise Heat Project, delivering smart home climate solutions. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a large new feature, ensuring its smooth and efficient integration into the product. 

You will assess current processes, identify areas for improvement, and adapt workflows to meet tight timelines and evolving project needs. Working closely with the team, you will ensure high quality and bring real impact to the Customer’s product. 

CUSTOMER
Our Customer is a leading European provider of eco-friendly and energy-efficient indoor climate solutions. The company develops modern heating and climate-control systems powered by renewable energy sources and advanced smart technologies. Their solutions help improve energy efficiency and indoor comfort in apartment buildings, hotels, industrial facilities, and private homes while supporting sustainable energy consumption goals across international markets.

PROJECT

Our project involves the development of smart home climate solutions for a client operating in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) sector. The team develops and validates scalable products that combine wireless communication, cloud integration, and embedded software to deliver efficient and user-friendly climate solutions.

You will work closely with distributed international teams and Customer representatives across multiple related products within the same domain. The project includes shared functionality, reusable testing approaches, and continuous feature delivery in a fast-paced development environment.

Job Description

• Review and analyze system specifications, requirements, and user stories
• Design and maintain test documentation and test cases
• Prepare and configure testing environments, including software and hardware setup
• Execute manual functional, integration, and regression testing
• Validate system behavior against acceptance criteria and business expectations
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using bug tracking systems
• Perform re-testing and verification of resolved issues
• Collaborate closely with developers, Product Owners, and Customer representatives
• Contribute to shared testing strategies across multiple products
• Prepare detailed testing reports and provide feedback on software quality and usability
• Support rapid feature delivery in a dynamic development environment

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial experience in Manual Testing
• Upper-Intermediate or higher English level
• Proficiency in Ukrainian language
• Good understanding of SDLC and software testing methodologies
• Experience with functional, integration, regression, and acceptance testing
• Experience working with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Trello, or Bugzilla
• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum development environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset

WOULD BE A PLUS

• Basic understanding of scripting or programming languages
• Experience with Unix / Linux systems
• Experience with TestRail, Zephyr, or similar test management tools
• Experience testing embedded or IoT solutions
• Knowledge of cloud-integrated systems
• Familiarity with Lua
