To drive continued success in this exciting clinical research field, we are seeking committed, skilled, and customer-focused individuals to join our winning team as a Global Head of Clinical Delivery for our Bridgewater, New Jersey, USA on-site location, or remotely from a home-based office anywhere in the USA in accordance with our Work from Home policy.

Job Overview:

The Global Head of Clinical Delivery is a senior executive responsible for the strategic leadership, operational performance, global oversight and development of clinical execution capabilities (clinical operations) across all programs, customers, and geographies. This individual is accountable for ensuring the consistent execution of high-quality clinical studies, delivering exceptional customer experiences, achieving financial objectives, and driving operational excellence across the clinical organization.

As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Global Head of Clinical Delivery will support the leadership and continued build-out of a global organization comprising Clinical Operations, Therapeutic Area Leads, Site Payments/Contracts, and associated clinical operations delivery functions. The role is responsible for developing and implementing a scalable global clinical operations delivery model that enables quality, sustainable growth, operational efficiency, talent development, and industry-leading performance.

This role will also facilitate cross-functional alignment with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Biometrics, Safety Management, and Clinical Trials Technologies teams to ensure high quality and integrated delivery structures, processes and tools.

Key Job Accountabilities:

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute a global clinical operations delivery strategy from commercial to operational capability development and initiatives, aligned with Everest’s corporate growth and operational objectives.
• Establish a vision for clinical delivery excellence, ensuring consistency, scalability, and quality across all regions.
• Partner with executive leadership to define organizational priorities, resource investments, and transformation initiatives.
• Drive organizational effectiveness through process improvement, technology adoption, and innovative operating models.
• Represent Global Clinical Delivery in executive governance forums and strategic customer engagements.

Clinical Operations Leadership

• Provide executive oversight of all clinical operations and full-service trial delivery activities across Phase I–IV studies and clinical development programs.
• Ensure studies are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
• Establish and maintain delivery standards, governance models, and performance expectations across the organization.
• Monitor portfolio performance and intervene proactively with internal teams or external clients to resolve critical delivery risks and issues.

Portfolio Management and Execution

• Oversee the global clinical operations and full-service client portfolio, ensuring effective study execution, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
• Implement robust portfolio governance processes and performance monitoring systems.
• Drive accountability for quality, timelines, enrollment, site performance, and study outcomes.
• Ensure cross-functional alignment among Clinical Operations, Data Management, Biostatistics, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Writing, Safety, and other key stakeholders.
• Lead executive-level escalation management for critical studies and strategic customers.

Client Engagement and Growth

• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with sponsors and strategic partners.
• Act as the senior clinical delivery representative during business development activities, proposal reviews, and bid defenses.
• Partner with Commercial leadership to support customer retention, expansion opportunities, and new business acquisition.
• Serve as an executive sponsor for key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction with Everest’s delivery performance, and build long-term partnerships.
• Lead resolution of significant customer concerns and delivery-related escalations.

Financial and Business Performance

• Own clinical delivery-related revenue realization, profitability, forecasting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure effective management of study budgets, scope changes, resourcing models, and client commitments.
• Partner with Finance and Commercial teams to improve margin performance and operational predictability.
• Establish key performance indicators and operational metrics to drive accountability and informed decision-making.
• Contribute to corporate growth objectives through effective operational execution and client retention.

Talent and Organizational Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global clinical delivery organization.
• Build leadership capability, succession plans, and talent pipelines to support organizational growth.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, diversity, inclusion, and continuous professional development.
• Drive employee engagement, retention, and workforce planning initiatives globally.
• Establish clear performance expectations and promote accountability at all levels of the organization.

Quality, Compliance, and Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements, company SOPs, and applicable quality standards.
• Maintain a culture of inspection readiness and operational excellence across all clinical programs.
• Partner with Quality Assurance to support audits, inspections, and remediation activities.
• Implement proactive risk identification, management, and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, or a related field required.
• Advanced degree in related field preferred.

Experience

• 15+ years of progressive experience in clinical operations roles (e.g., CRA, Clinical Operations Lead, Clinical Project Management, etc.), clinical delivery, or drug development.
• 10+ years of senior leadership experience within one or more CROs (primarily) with delivery experience across North America, Europe and APAC preferred.
• Demonstrated success leading large, geographically dispersed global clinical operations organizations.
• Proven track record managing complex global clinical development programs across multiple therapeutic areas.
• Experience leading organizational transformation, operational scaling across one or more global regions, and business growth initiatives.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, clinical trial conduct, and clinical development processes.

Estimated Salary Range: $275,000 - $325,000.
