Role Description:

The Purchase Processing Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and supporting a team of escrow officers and/or assistants handling purchase transactions. This role ensures the team delivers accurate, timely, and compliant escrow services while maintaining exceptional client service standards. The Team Lead will provide training, mentorship, and workflow management, and act as a subject matter expert on escrow purchase transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the purchase processing team, ensuring quality and efficiency in all transactions.
• Monitor pipeline volumes and allocate workloads to balance capacity across the team.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex or high-risk transactions.
• Train, mentor, and coach team members on best practices, procedures, and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, state regulations, and industry guidelines.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve title issues and coordinate closing timelines.
• Review and approve closing documents and disbursements as needed.
• Track and report team performance metrics to leadership.
• Support a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and customer service.

Qualifications:

• Education & Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in title and escrow, specifically in purchase transactions.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of mortgage loan documentation.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency with escrow and title software systems (e.g., SoftPro).
• Core Competencies:
• Proven leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of title insurance, escrow procedures, and state regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in title and escrow, with a focus on purchase transactions.
• Prior leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience is strongly preferred.
• Escrow Officer license or certification (if required by state) preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Schedule:

• Core business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm
• Monday through Friday
• 40 hours per week

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to consider candidates in states not listed for remote work. 
• May be able to work in-office at our Virginia Beach, VA, if local.
