The Sales Engineer (SE), working closely with the Sales team, is responsible for the software (FLEX) aspects of proposed solutions from the prospect stage through project acceptance. The SE contributes to T2’s strategic goals by providing technical and operational expertise throughout the sales process and ensuring knowledge gained during the sales cycle is effectively transitioned to Project Management and implementation teams.

This position works with internal and external stakeholders to understand customer requirements, evaluate operational and technical needs, and develop fully integrated solutions using T2’s FLEX and related software products. This includes analyzing customer environments, workflows, infrastructure, integrations, hardware, and software requirements to determine the appropriate solution.

The successful candidate will combine parking industry knowledge with a strong technical understanding of T2’s software solutions and the technologies commonly used within parking and mobility operations. The ability to clearly document proposed solutions and effectively communicate technical concepts, functionality, requirements, and solution design to both technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential.

Essential Position Functions

• Contributes to the sales process by providing operational, functional, and technical analysis of FLEX opportunities, including participation in customer discovery, demonstrations, RFPs, bids, and other sales engagements.
• Works with customers and the Sales team to understand operational requirements, business objectives, existing environments, and desired outcomes.
• Develops and presents effective, customer-focused demonstrations and solution presentations in support of the sales process.
• Performs gap analysis to identify differences between customer requirements and existing T2 functionality, ensuring expectations, dependencies, and potential gaps are clearly understood and communicated.
• Develops opportunity-specific solution designs and scoping documentation defining agreed-upon functionality, integrations, configuration requirements, dependencies, and other technical considerations necessary for successful implementation.
• Develops customer-specific content based on identified use cases and presents proposed solutions in a clear, confident, and professional manner.
• Provides technical and subject matter expertise to internal and external stakeholders throughout the sales process and supports the transition of solution knowledge to Project Management and implementation teams.
• Collaborates with Product Management to understand product capabilities, limitations, integrations, and software roadmaps and appropriately incorporates this information into solution design and customer discussions.
• Identifies customer requirements or use cases that may require Product Management review and works with appropriate stakeholders to evaluate potential solutions.
• Engages other T2 subject matter experts as needed to ensure proposed solutions are technically sound, appropriately scoped, and aligned with customer requirements.

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 3–10 years of relevant technical, sales engineering, solutions engineering, parking, mobility, transportation, or related industry experience.
• Demonstrated experience with T2 FLEX is required. Experience may be gained through employment with T2 or through direct use and administration of FLEX within a customer environment.
• Ability to travel as required to support customer engagements, site visits, demonstrations, and other business needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of parking and mobility operations, technologies, and industry practices.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to develop an in-depth understanding of T2 FLEX and related software products, services, integrations, and processes.
• Ability to understand customer operational and technical requirements and translate them into appropriate solution designs.
• Ability to analyze complex customer environments involving software, hardware, infrastructure, integrations, workflows, and operational requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to define problems, gather and analyze information, identify alternatives, and develop appropriate solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong presentation and demonstration skills with the ability to effectively communicate with prospects, customers, management, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize multiple opportunities and responsibilities while working effectively under deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Product Management, Project Management, Professional Services, and other cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
