Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Fiori / UI5 Developer to engineer modern, responsive user interfaces across our enterprise application architecture. The ideal candidate will design, build, and deploy intuitive web applications using SAPUI5 libraries, consuming backend OData services, and extending standard Fiori elements to deliver high-performance, accessible enterprise workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop custom responsive web applications from scratch using the SAPUI5 framework, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MVC design patterns.
  • Extend and customize standard SAP Fiori elements and templates (e.g., List Reports, Analytical List Pages, Overview Pages, Object Pages) to match custom business rules.
  • Consume, bind, and debug OData services (V2/V4) generated from backend ABAP environments to create seamless, dynamic data presentation grids.
  • Configure and govern the SAP Fiori Launchpad, setting up custom catalogs, spaces, pages, target mappings, tile structures, and role-based personalization parameters.
  • Apply UX and design principles, ensuring cross-browser compatibility, responsive mobile formatting, fluid screen transitions, and performance optimizations.
  • Integrate custom apps into SAP Cloud environments, deploying front-end builds cleanly across SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) HTML5 repositories.
  • Perform rigorous application testing and troubleshooting, auditing JavaScript code paths, tracking runtime errors via browser developer tooling, and managing front-end version control via Git.



Requirements

  • 4 to 8 years of core web application development experience, with 4+ dedicated years actively designing, building, and deploying software within the SAP Fiori and UI5 ecosystems.
  • Strong technical mastery of JavaScript (ES6+), XML, JSON data binding, CSS styling hooks, RESTful API consumption, and browser performance optimization techniques.
  • Deep structural understanding of SAP Fiori design guidelines, launchpad administration paradigms, and the lifecycle management of web application models.
  • Mandatory certification: SAP Certified Development Associate - SAP Fiori Application Developer.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working alongside the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) or Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines, package management tools (e.g., npm, UI5 Tooling), and CI/CD version controls.
