Job description

Leads execution and revenue growth against the Society's strategy for corporate partnerships and account management in a top tier market. Leads a team of corporate fundraising professional(s) in the pursuit of new opportunities, managing and cultivating existing relationships, implementation of corporate initiatives to achieve ACS mission priorities with a focus on securing 6 and 7-figure partnerships. Applies a strategic sales mindset to uncover new revenue streams through executive-level engagement and long-term relationship building. Accountable for a minimum of $3M in annual revenue.

**This is a 100% remote position, however ideal candidate will be within a reasonable commute of Dallas, Texas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

  • As a key member of an area leadership team, builds and executes a corporate revenue growth, targeting Fortune 1000 companies and top regional employers to accelerate multi-million dollar income generation and advance mission priorities. 25% 

  • Recruits and engages executive leadership, building and sustaining C-suite relationships to secure high-level commitments and long-term support. Provides leadership for a CEOs Against Cancer® (CAC) chapter, achieving high recruiting levels and member retention rates, and delivering against the CAC strategy by meeting/exceeding recruiting and revenue goals. 20%  

  • Applies proven fundraising methodologies to identify, cultivate, and secure new revenue streams through strategic corporate partnerships. Manages and grows external relationships with key corporate stakeholders, ensuring consistent engagement, satisfaction, and partnership expansion. 15% 

  • Manages, coaches, develops, and trains a team of 1-4 corporate account relations and account operations staff each responsible for a substantial account and revenue portfolios 15% 

  • Collaborates cross-functionally across organizational pillars to align corporate initiatives with strategic priorities and maximize partnership value. Engages with the area lead in implementing the market account plan 20% 

 

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree  

  • Preferred Degree: Master's Degree  

  • Years of experience:  7 years successful experience in fundraising, corporate engagement, and executive relationship development with distinguished partners, preferably with a multi-million dollar organization

  • 3 to 5 years of staff management experience 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:  

  • Leads with a growth mindset, setting and achieving ambitious year-over-year revenue goals. 

  • Proven ability to design and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies that drive significant revenue growth across multiple channels.  

  • Significant expertise and experience in building and maintaining long-term relationships with corporate partners, with a focus on donor engagement and retention 

  • Proven track record securing 6 and 7 figure corporate relationships 

  • Demonstrates strong sales skills and proven track record in identifying and securing new revenue opportunities 

  • Skilled in leveraging board members and volunteers as fundraising ambassadors and partners in donor outreach. 

  • Outcome driven with ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities.  

  • Demonstrated success in leading, mentoring, and motivating high-performing development teams to achieve ambitious fundraising goals.  

  • Delivers compelling communication with exceptional ability to engage and influence executive level stakeholders 

  • Proficient in using donor data and analytics to inform strategy, track performance, and optimize fundraising efforts. 

  • Exhibits demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across organizational pillars and departments 

  • Applies expert-level skills in managing complex external relationships and stakeholder engagement 

  • Maintains market influence and reputation within the corporate philanthropy sector 

  • Leverages deep mission expertise and ability to articulate ACS impact and strategic priorities 

  • Provides strong market, community and constituent perspective 

  • Commands broad knowledge of the overall structure, programs, and services of the American Cancer Society including policies and procedures 

  • Demonstrates proficiency in computer-based information systems 

  • Exhibits excellent project management, strategic planning, and organization skills 

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Limited overnight travel within the area and to region/enterprise meetings and events 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Expectation to be external in market, 3 days per week average 

  • No specific physical requirements 

 

 

 

 

The starting rate is $115,000 to $150,000. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
