What this Journey Looks Like

We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join a project for a fintech company based in Canada.
This is an initial 6-month engagement with a strong possibility of extension.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Linux expertise combined with intermediate to advanced Windows Server experience, with a solid background in infrastructure operations, troubleshooting, automation, and production support.

We are particularly interested in engineers who are comfortable investigating complex infrastructure issues, responding to production incidents, and working across Linux and Windows environments. Strong English communication skills are required to collaborate effectively with technical teams in Canada.

What You'll Lead and Build

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and support Linux and Windows server environments.

• Monitor infrastructure health, availability, and performance.

• Investigate and resolve production incidents and infrastructure issues.

• Perform root cause analysis and help prevent recurring incidents.

• Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using scripting and automation tools.

• Participate in on-call and incident response activities when required.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, development, and other technical teams.

• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

What You Bring to the Table
Must-Have

• 4+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or similar roles.

• Strong hands-on Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.

• Intermediate to advanced experience with Windows Server environments.

• Experience supporting and troubleshooting production infrastructure.

• Solid scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, and/or PowerShell.

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.

• Good understanding of networking and infrastructure concepts.

• Experience with incident management and root cause analysis.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent English communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with distributed technical team
  
  Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools such as Terraform or Ansible.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.

• Experience with Active Directory and Windows infrastructure administration.

• Previous experience working in fintech, financial services, or highly available production environments.
