HN446 - Full-Time Nanny - Hillsborough, CA

A sweet young family in Hillsborough, CA is seeking a full-time live-out nanny for their 5-month-old; they also have a 3-year-old but he is in preschool while the nanny is working. The schedule is Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. This role is primary for the infant, but for the toddler some support for him will be needed as well such as his laundry, packing his lunch (the mother cooks for him), plating his dinner, school picks ups for him perhaps, and managing both children when he is home from school (maybe 2-3x/month). They prefer someone who is flexible with hours and can offer babysitting or evening support as needed. Both parents work from home, so home is both a safe/quiet space and professional working space; being mindful, proactive, and able to work autonomously and not be micro-managed is important to the parents. The start is ASAP.

• Ensuring baby's safety, health, and happiness at all times
• Actively nurturing and engaging the child(ren) in educational, developmental, and fun age-appropriate activities that encourage their physical and mental growth
• Supporting the achievement of age-appropriate milestones (e.g. tummy time,
mealtime, socialization, potty training, learning to read, walking, etc.). Advising the parents of any milestones to prepare for with the purchasing of specific toys, developmental products, books, classes, etc.
• Taking the child(ren) on excursions as age-appropriate to classes, the park, on walks, arranging playdates, reading, and indoor & outdoor play
• Diaper changes
• Maintaining the child(ren)'s nap, eating, and play schedules
• Children’s laundry (clothes and bed sheets)
• Feeding the baby, plating the eldest child's dinner and packing his lunches; the mother does the cooking
• Notifying parents when child-related items need to be restocked, clothes are too
small, etc.
• Keeping the home's main spaces and the children's room clean and tidy (putting
away/wiping down toys, cleaning bottles, dishes, and the kitchen after mealtime,
tidying children's room, emptying diaper pail, doing children's laundry, changing children's sheets, keeping the stroller/diaper bag organized and well-stocked)
• Flexible and able to stay longer as needed I.E., babysit at night or on weekends
• Keeping a log/report of baby's schedule (feeding, naps, etc. - using Huckleberry app)
• Occasionally bathing and bedtime as needed I.E., if parents are out that night

• Drive the baby and both children at times; they don't have a nanny car, but will reimburse for gas and mileage (for the baby to attend music classes, the park, the library, etc.)

• $45-50/hour
