Title: Data Analyst

Job Description:
Scope:
  • Provide support for the Supportive Housing Evaluation team (NY/NY III, NYC 15/15, Health of People Experiencing Homelessness Report) and the Newborns in Shelter project.
  • Conduct data management and knowledge management activities for DOHMH project investigators.
  • Ensure data privacy, confidentiality, and security throughout the matching process following data governance criteria.
  • Create analytic datasets, data dictionaries, and annotated SAS code for multiple projects.
  • Review and update documentation for data matching processes

Roles:
  • Administrative Data Management Analyst (Consultant)
  • Reports to the Senior Research and Evaluation Scientist and the Senior Director of Research and Evaluation.
Requirement:
  • Past professional experience conducting data matches and analyzing earlier years of data for these projects.
  • Experience with complex data matching processes using multiple sources of administrative data.
  • Proficiency in SAS coding and annotation.
  • Ability to create and maintain data dictionaries and analytic datasets.
  • Knowledge of data privacy, confidentiality, and security protocols.

Detailed Services to be Provided:
  • NY/NY III Evaluation:
    • Create an analytic dataset using matched records by adapting code from previous matches.
    • Create a new data dictionary for the main NY/NY III dataset and topic-specific datasets.
    • Document the process of creating the analytic dataset and annotate SAS code.
  • NYC 15/15 Program:
    • Contribute to the creation of an analytic dataset, corresponding data dictionary, and annotate SAS code.
  • Health of People Experiencing Homelessness Report:
    • Contribute to the creation of an analytic dataset, corresponding data dictionary, and annotate SAS code.
  • Newborns in Shelter Project:
    • Review documentation for matching, assist with filling in knowledge gaps, and annotate SAS code.
