Head of QA (Playwright Automation)

Qualifications

Must-Have:

• 12+ years in software quality engineering, with demonstrated leadership experience as a QA Lead, Manager, or Head of QA.

• Fierce, demonstrated advocate for test automation with a track record of significantly expanding coverage footprints across complex distributed systems.

• Hands-on expertise designing modern automation frameworks from scratch across both backend (APIs, microservices, databases) and frontend (web/SPA interfaces).

• Strong experience with API automation tools and test suites (REST, gRPC, WebSockets) and UI automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).

• Deep understanding of embedding automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to establish strict deployment guardrails.

• Strong technical acumen in analyzing distributed system failures, race conditions, and integration bottlenecks.

Good-to-Have:

• Exposure to VoIP/telecom quality validation, such as audio fidelity metrics (MOS scores), SIP signaling verification, or call quality testing.

• Experience implementing contract testing (e.g., Pact) and chaos engineering practices.

• Background operating in environments aligned with enterprise security or data protection standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA).
