Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an exceptionally talented Senior Recruiter to join our Engineered Systems team. In this role, you will manage full-cycle recruiting for cleared and uncleared positions supporting defense, intelligence, construction & engineering, systems integration, and other mission-critical programs. You will translate technical and contract labor-category requirements into effective sourcing strategies, partner with program leadership, and support rapid staffing and surge requirements.

Candidates located in the Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., or Maryland area are preferred, as this position may periodically require in-person meetings, hiring events, and other business activities.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Manage the full life-cycle recruiting process for assigned vacancies in accordance with Parsons’ recruiting policies and procedures.
  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies for technical and non-technical positions supporting Engineered Systems.
  • Translate job requirements, contract labor categories, security requirements, and customer staffing needs into targeted sourcing and screening plans.
  • Build and maintain reusable talent pipelines aligned with Engineered Systems’ growth areas and program needs.
  • Maintain a skills inventory and candidate pipeline for cleared and other scarce technical talent.
  • Source, assess, and engage candidates through cleared recruiting networks, professional associations, universities, veteran programs, employee referrals, passive-candidate outreach, and other targeted channels.
  • Partner with hiring managers, program leadership, engineering organizations, and corporate stakeholders to establish priorities, clarify requirements, and maintain regular recruiting communications.
  • Screen candidates against technical qualifications, contract labor-category requirements, education, experience, certifications, and security-clearance criteria.
  • Coordinate interviews, selection activities, background requirements, and hiring approvals.
  • Support proposal pursuits and surge staffing requirements
  • Provide recruiting status, pipeline health, staffing risks, and recommended mitigation actions to leadership.
  • Maintain accurate and timely candidate and requisition information in Workday and related recruiting systems.
  • Ensure recruiting activities comply with applicable employment laws, company policies, contract requirements, and information-handling procedures.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Familiarity with government-contract labor categories, contract-specific qualifications, customer staffing requirements, and personnel ramp-up timelines.
  • Proven experience sourcing candidates through cleared recruiting networks, professional associations, university and veteran pipelines, employee referrals, and passive-candidate engagement.
  • Ability to interpret technical resumes and assess candidates against requirements.
  • Knowledge of U.S. employment laws, equal employment opportunity requirements, and applicable recruiting compliance obligations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop compensation-informed offers and negotiate effectively using internal guidance and external market data.
  • Strong communication, business acumen, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet time-sensitive staffing objectives, and operate independently.
  • Proficiency with Workday, Microsoft Office Suite, and recruiting/sourcing tools.


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience supporting Service Contract Act (SCA) and Davis-Bacon Act (DBA) contract staffing requirements.
  • Experience supporting Aviation and/or Construction industries
  • Experience supporting surge staffing and replacing personnel within compressed customer timelines.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, Boolean search techniques, LinkedIn Recruiter, and cleared talent databases.
