Medical Assistant AI Systems Associate

This is a remote position.

The Medical Assistant AI Systems Associate supports clinical and administrative healthcare operations while working with AI-enabled systems designed to improve workflow efficiency, documentation, patient communication, and healthcare data management.

This position combines medical assistant knowledge with practical experience using artificial intelligence, automation, electronic health record systems, and digital healthcare tools. The associate serves as a bridge between healthcare workflows and technology, helping ensure AI-supported processes are accurate, efficient, appropriately documented, and aligned with established organizational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Use AI-enabled healthcare platforms and digital tools to support clinical and administrative workflows.

• Review AI-generated documentation, summaries, classifications, or recommendations for accuracy and completeness before appropriate use or escalation.

• Assist with patient intake, medical histories, demographic information, appointment preparation, and clinical documentation.

• Enter, review, and maintain information within electronic health record and other healthcare information systems.

• Support AI-assisted documentation and workflow automation while maintaining appropriate human review of healthcare information.

• Identify inaccurate, incomplete, or inconsistent AI-generated information and escalate issues according to established procedures.

• Assist with testing and evaluating AI-supported healthcare workflows and document system performance or recurring issues.

• Provide feedback to operations, clinical, and technology teams regarding usability, workflow efficiency, and system accuracy.

• Support data quality initiatives by reviewing healthcare information for completeness, consistency, and appropriate categorization.

• Assist with patient communication, scheduling, referrals, follow-up activities, and other administrative healthcare processes.

• Follow organizational requirements related to patient privacy, confidentiality, HIPAA, information security, and appropriate use of healthcare technology.

• Maintain documentation of system issues, workflow changes, testing activities, and process improvements.

• Collaborate with clinicians, administrative teams, operations personnel, and technology teams to improve AI-supported workflows.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant certificate, diploma, associate degree, or equivalent healthcare experience preferred.

• Familiarity with medical terminology, clinical workflows, patient documentation, and healthcare administrative processes.

• Experience using electronic health record systems or other healthcare technology preferred.

• Interest in artificial intelligence, healthcare technology, automation, or digital health.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in clinical or administrative information.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to learn new software platforms and technology-enabled workflows.

• Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.

• Ability to work effectively across clinical, operational, and technology teams.

Salary: $50,000–$60,000
