Job description

Our client, an IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Banking Migration Lead/Client Implementation Lead – Debit Card & Banking Operations for their Remote location.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the primary point of contact for banks and credit unions throughout the migration lifecycle.
  • Owns client engagement, task tracking, issue coordination, and migration readiness.
  • Maintains the client relationship throughout the entire migration cycle instead of handing clients off between teams.
  • Strong client interaction and communication skills are considered more important than deep project management credentials.
  • Debit/payment processing knowledge is preferred, but individuals with strong client-facing skills can be trained.
  • Typical onboarding and ramp-up period is approximately 90 days, including training and job shadowing.
  • Migration leads typically manage multiple clients simultaneously at different stages of the migration lifecycle.
  • Each lead may oversee approximately 6-9 clients across various phases of migration.
  • Banking Operations & Financial Management
  • Perform daily, monthly, and periodic balancing of general ledger accounts, correspondent accounts, ATM settlements, and financial transactions.
  • Monitor account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial reporting and accounting records.
  • Process and manage loan advances, paydowns, interest rate adjustments, and line-of-credit maintenance.
  • Support wire transfer operations and related banking transactions while maintaining compliance with internal policies.
  • Client Implementation & Conversion Support
  • Assist financial institution clients during system conversions and implementations.
  • Support clients with balancing activities following conversion to ensure operational accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate implementation schedules, training activities, and post-conversion support.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries related to balancing, operational processes, and system functionality.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure adherence to banking regulations, company policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor operational processes to identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
  • Support audit requests and maintain documentation required for regulatory reviews.
  • Assist in implementing process controls and compliance initiatives to strengthen operational effectiveness.
  • Customer Service & Relationship Management
  • Manage relationships with banking clients and business partners, providing responsive and professional service.
  • Investigate and resolve customer inquiries received via phone, email, and other support channels.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and timely issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address client needs and improve service delivery.
  • Project Coordination & Process Improvement
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities involving operations, training, compliance, and client support teams.
  • Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of implementation and operational activities.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance client experiences.
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation, training materials, and standard procedures.
  • Leadership & Administrative Support
  • Provide training and guidance to new team members and clients.
  • Support vendor relationships and coordinate with third-party service providers when required.
  • Assist with human resources, operations, and administrative functions as needed.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at improving business performance and operational effectiveness.
 
Requirements:
  • US banking experience (debit card in specific)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Banking, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in banking operations, financial services, lending, or implementation support.
  • Experience with general ledger balancing, account reconciliation, loan processing, and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and operational controls.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and banking/financial systems.
  • Experience supporting financial institution conversions or implementations.
  • Background in commercial lending, asset-based lending, or credit union operations.
  • Experience managing client portfolios and vendor relationships.
  • Proven track record of process improvement and customer service excellence.
