With over 100+ companies across more than 35 countries, Volaris Group continues to seek long term investment opportunities in companies, technologies, or ideas that add value to existing core markets or allow entry into new ones. Volaris Group’s success is based on a decentralized business model where acquired companies retain their autonomy, gain access to training and best practices, and are never sold.

As a subset of Volaris Group/Bacchus Portfolio, our portfolio presently includes 15 growth-oriented companies. In addition to supporting the organic growth goals of these businesses, we are actively looking to acquire new businesses that expand our functional and geographic coverage. The Position:

This position will report directly to the Portfolio Controller and work as part of the broader Finance team. They will be a key part of portfolio reporting as well as working with the portfolio business units to improve group reporting and internal processes and controls.

The ideal candidate will have a solid grounding in accounting, finance, and general business concepts, with superior analytical skills, a strong work ethic and great interpersonal skills; including having aptitude for finance system administration and automation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for monthly portfolio accounting tasks, such as posting journal entries, distributing intercompany charges, processing of invoices, booking cash entries and maintaining general ledger accounts.
• Actively identify and implement AI-assisted automation opportunities within the controllership and finance function, reducing manual processing time and increasing capacity for higher-value analytical work
• Own the administration and support of Portfolio Finance application including NetSuite
• Be the key point of contact and support for Portfolio Finance in all systems related issues with NetSuite, OneStream, Great Plains, Blackline, and BPC
• Perform and review account reconciliations and identify areas of weakness across the portfolio.
• Assist in the preparation and review of multiple business unit deliverables to close quarter/year ends including note disclosures.
• Support financial integration of newly acquired business’ accounting and reporting practices and implement consistent reporting in line with corporate requirements.
• Assist with Risk Control Matrix creation, review, and controls testing at both newly acquired and existing businesses.
• Frequent interaction with the corporate finance team on various ad-hoc requests.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with entity finance leads; provide technical accounting guidance and policy clarification without creating dependency or interfering with entity autonomy
• Supporting finance leads as necessary and assistance with ad-hoc assignments as required

• Experience working with NetSuite software is an asset.
