Position Summary

The Area Sales Manager will grow sales and provide consistent product, program and marketing support to current and new customers in an assigned area. This teammate will provide a forecast, review key performance metrics in their area, identify local trends and industry trends and pursue opportunities for growth both with our current customer base and new customers.


Responsibilities

  • Proactively identifying, qualifying, closing and growing new accounts
  • Stewarding and expanding existing Bridgestone business
  • Developing and delivering product demonstrations, marketing opportunities & program support
  • Forecasting product needs
  • Exercising strong enterprise decision making, finding creative ways to support the customer while increasing profitability for Bridgestone
  • Serving the customer with excellence through relationships

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of sales experience. Successfully closing new business while growing and renewing existing customer base. 
  • Maintain an innovative attitude while creating strategies for existing customer growth and new lead generation
  • Ability to understand your customer, develop strategies for success, execute your strategy, and monitor success.  Be flexible enough to evolve as needed for sustainable growth.
  • You must be able to conduct high level conversations with decision makers
  • Display personal integrity that allows you to rise above your competition
  • Manage your area with honesty, servanthood, excellence, discipline and accountability

Additional Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Some knowledge of the tire industry and competitive products
  • Some experience in the retail tire business, customer facing preferred
