Join Allianz Commercial as Regional Managing Director Nordics, based in Copenhagen or Stockholm, leading one of the most strategically significant regional portfolios within our global commercial insurance business. We are looking for a leader known for driving profitable growth, building client-focused cultures grounded in underwriting integrity, and developing high-performing teams. In this role, you will have the mandate to shape strategy, achieve tangible results, and contribute to the success of Allianz Commercial's broader objectives across Denmark, Sweden, and Finland.

Reporting directly to the Regional President EMEA, you will oversee the full P&C Commercial portfolio - spanning MidCorp and Large Corp segments - and serve as the single face to the market for partners, clients, and stakeholders across the region. This is a rare opportunity to lead a complex, multi-country business at the intersection of underwriting excellence, distribution strategy, and transformational leadership within one of the world's leading specialist insurers.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage the P&C Commercial portfolio across the Nordics - encompassing Denmark, Sweden, and Finland - ensuring the creation of business value in alignment with corporate strategy across Lines of Business and Distribution; communicate strategic vision in an inspiring and engaging manner, both internally and externally, to provide clear direction and establish priorities
• Act as the single face to the market for partners and clients; resolve conflicts and align go-to-market strategies across MidCorp and Large Corp segments; serve as the escalation point for underwriting referrals in both segments
• Oversee underwriting and distribution delivery, ensuring alignment with agreed targets, processes, and technical standards; work closely with CUO and CTO functions globally and regionally
• Lead a regional team of approximately 50 professionals, including Regional Line of Business Heads for Liability, Property, and Financial Lines, the Regional Head of Claims, and Heads of Market Management; oversee dotted-line collaboration with local Heads of P&C Commercial across the markets across the Nordic countries
• Execute strategic initiatives in collaboration with other Allianz entities, driving impact in technical excellence, growth, and productivity
• Proactively initiate and lead change, fostering a culture of continuous improvement by anticipating future challenges and developing innovative solutions; empower others to act in line with shared direction
• Participate actively in the management team of Allianz Commercial EMEA and the Allianz Nordics Extended Management Team
• Build strong, lasting relationships with stakeholders across the Allianz Group and the broader insurance industry, fostering collaboration and driving results
• Maximize people potential by continuously developing talent strategies aligned with future business needs, ensuring the organization is well-equipped for tomorrow's challenges
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and performance within your team, driving the achievement of key business objectives across the region

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• A strong blend of deep insurance expertise and entrepreneurial thinking, with the ability to navigate the full insurance value chain and deliver data-driven insights and agile solutions aligned with underwriting cycles
• A solid network of brokers and clients, strong market relationships, extensive regional exposure, and recognized thought leadership in the P&C Commercial space in the Nordic region
• Excellent understanding of Nordic insurance markets and emerging trends; proven ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities while maintaining a risk-conscious approach that balances innovation with sound judgement
• Proven track record in managing critical business scenarios across matrix organizations, including turnarounds, restructurings, and the redesign of complex business processes at scale; a consistent history of driving profitable growth or enhancing franchise value
• Recognized leadership in underwriting and/or distribution, with additional strengths in product design, pricing, and claims management; deep expertise in highly complex commercial product offerings and a strong business vision
• Strong expertise in conflict management, including arbitrage and independent decision-making, with the fact-based decisiveness to resolve issues swiftly and effectively
• Outstanding organizational and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and confidently to diverse audiences; strong interpersonal and people leadership skills that cultivate trust-based relationships and foster a collaborative team culture
• Demonstrated ability to leverage data analytics and AI-enabled tools to inform strategic decisions, optimize underwriting performance, and drive operational efficiency
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional Nordic languages (e.g. Swedish or Danish) is a strong advantage
• Willingness and ability to travel regionally and internationally as required
