About the role

We're excited to be looking for a Assessment Associate - Reviewers within our Vcertsteam on a flexible worker contract for the following qualifications:

Level 1/2 Technical Award in Health and Fitness

Level 1/2 Technical Award in Sports Studies

The Assessment Solutions team are a small group who work together to produce outstanding assessment materials. As a team we are passionate about producing assessment that are robust, inclusive and fit for purpose. Our goal is to produce assessments that are engaging and allow our candidates to showcase their skills at a level that will allow them options in their lives, professionally or academically.

As a reviewer, you’ll be responsible for reviewing and drafting assessment materials, as well as supporting revisions to ensure the assessments are fit for purpose. You’ll use your subject-specific expertise to evaluate draft materials, including question papers and mark schemes, providing feedback that highlights any errors, ambiguities, omissions, or oversights.

How you’ll make an impact:  

• Contributing to the production of high quality, reliable assessment content that reflects in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Vcerts assessments.

• Supporting the development of assessment content that meets all commissioning instructions as agreed with the Assessment Solutions Officer.

• Communicating effectively with other team members including Assessment Solutions Officers and other Assessment Associates.

We'd love to hear from you if you offer the following: 

• A minimum of a level 3 qualification in the advertised subject area
• Current, valid and up to date knowledge of the subject area with a minimum of 3 years’ experience
• Experience of writing and/or reviewing external assessment materials (question papers/mark schemes/tasks) to a Level 3 standard
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a hybrid team through clear, respectful and timely communication
• Ability and/or willingness to engage with IT systems to facilitate effective remote working
