Job description

About The Company

Talvette is a tech-focused talent placement platform. We work with clients across different markets and help them build strong teams through efficient, reliable, and modern recruitment solutions.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Specialist who can take ownership of the business development and client lifecycle.

This is not a purely lead generation or appointment-setting role. We are looking for someone who can identify opportunities, initiate conversations, build relationships, conduct sales meetings, close deals, onboard clients, manage accounts, and contribute to long-term client retention and revenue growth.

Role Overview

The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for driving new business growth for Talvette by managing the full sales cycle.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs, particularly within international or foreign markets. They should be comfortable working independently, building a sales pipeline from scratch, engaging decision-makers, handling objections, closing commercial agreements, and maintaining strong relationships after acquisition.

You should be equally comfortable with prospecting, outreach, sales calls, negotiation, account management, and client retention.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Market Research

  • Research and identify potential clients, industries, companies, and decision-makers aligned with Talvette's target market.
  • Develop a strong understanding of target markets, customer segments, and buyer personas.
  • Build and maintain a healthy and qualified sales pipeline.
  • Use platforms and tools such as LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, Apollo, CRM systems, email outreach tools, and other relevant channels to identify and engage prospects.
  • Continuously identify new business opportunities and potential markets for expansion.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect and pipeline information.

Prospecting & Outreach

  • Develop and execute effective outbound business development strategies.
  • Reach out to potential clients through email, LinkedIn, calls, referrals, partnerships, and other relevant channels.
  • Create personalized and compelling outreach approaches based on the prospect's business needs.
  • Follow up consistently and strategically to move prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Build relationships with founders, CEOs, HR leaders, hiring managers, and other relevant decision-makers.

Sales & Client Acquisition

  • Conduct discovery calls and meetings to understand prospective clients' hiring challenges, requirements, and business needs.
  • Present Talvette's services and value proposition effectively.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, commercial offers, and other relevant materials.
  • Handle objections, negotiate commercial terms, and move opportunities toward closure.
  • Take ownership of achieving and exceeding assigned sales and revenue targets.
  • Maintain strong sales discipline and ensure timely follow-up on all active opportunities.
  • Work closely with management and internal teams when required to support complex sales opportunities.

Client Onboarding & Relationship Management

  • Ensure a smooth transition from sales to service delivery after a client is acquired.
  • Lead or support the onboarding of new clients and ensure expectations, requirements, processes, and commercial terms are clearly communicated internally.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to understand their ongoing hiring and business needs.
  • Identify opportunities for repeat business, additional roles, cross-selling, and long-term partnerships.
  • Proactively address concerns and work with internal teams to ensure a positive client experience.

Performance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Consistently achieve or exceed assigned KPIs, sales targets, and revenue objectives.
  • Track and report key sales metrics, including outreach activity, meetings, opportunities, conversion rates, deals closed, revenue generated, and retention.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure proper documentation of sales activities and client interactions.
  • Analyze sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Share market insights, competitor intelligence, client feedback, and commercial opportunities with management.
  • Continuously test and improve outreach, sales, and account management strategies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • 4 years of relevant experience in business development, B2B sales, client acquisition, account management, or a similar commercial role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to closing and post-sales relationship management.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Experience selling to or working with clients in international or foreign markets.
  • Strong experience conducting discovery calls, sales meetings, presentations, negotiations, and commercial discussions.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and sales tools.
  • Comfortable working in a target-driven, fast-paced, and performance-oriented environment.
  • Experience in recruitment, HR services, staffing, SaaS, professional services, technology, or another B2B service industry will be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Confidence in engaging senior decision-makers and business leaders.
  • Excellent negotiation and objection-handling ability.
  • Ability to independently manage and prioritize a sales pipeline.
