Overview:

SUMMARY

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) Recruiter partners with Clinical, Medical, and Corporate Leaders across an assigned Market, Region, or Division to attract, assess, and hire high-quality advanced practice clinical talent. This role serves as a trusted talent advisor, developing proactive sourcing strategies specific to Nurse Practitioners. The position requires seamless alignment with the Physician Services recruiting team and other departments to ensure comprehensive staffing continuity across advanced practice providers and nephrologists. The NP Recruiter conducts virtual and in-person interviews, builds strong relationships with regional leaders, and represents U.S. Renal Care at clinics, universities, and industry-specific events.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner continuously with corporate leaders, Physician Services recruiting team and other departments to align advanced practice provider staffing with broader regional physician hiring initiatives and organizational vacancy goals.
  • Lead intake consultations with hiring managers, clinical directors and medical leaders to develop target recruitment strategies and align on candidate skill sets.
  • Develop innovative sourcing strategies utilizing specialized job boards, industry associations, community partnerships, networking events, LinkedIn, and Indeed.
  • Source, screen, and present highly qualified Nurse Practitioner candidates for assigned regional openings.
  • Coordinate and facilitate interview logistics, including virtual and onsite panels, ensuring candidate readiness and timely evaluation collection.
  • Analyze regional healthcare labor markets, competitor compensation trends, and provider availability to advise leaders on recruiting barriers.
  • Prepare employment offers, partnering directly with hiring managers and Human Resources Operations to maintain salary band compliance and internal equity.
  • Build and maintain proactive pipelines for high-volume or hard-to-fill clinical provider vacancies.
  • Travel 25–30% within the assigned market to lead clinic visits, regional job fairs, nursing school network sessions, and in-person interviews.
  • Manage full-lifecycle candidate movement through the corporate ATS according to established SLAs and standard HR policies.
  • Recruit for other corporate or clinical positions, as needed based on requisition volume or business priorities.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • College degree or equivalent professional experience required.
  • 3–5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience with a proven track record filling exempt positions.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of dedicated experience recruiting Nurse Practitioners or related advanced practice providers (APPs) within a healthcare environment.
  • Hands-on experience utilizing Applicant Tracking Systems, iCIMS experience is a plus.
  • Advanced sourcing skills including Boolean searches, market research, automated drip campaigns, and direct pipeline generation.
  • Strong sense of urgency, robust critical thinking capabilities, above-average problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to manage competing priority timelines.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interface effectively with physicians, executives, and external advanced practice clinicians.
