At Aldevron, we shape the future of medicine by advancing science in meaningful ways. Our team of dedicated, forward-thinking associates shares this goal by combining best-in-class products and service with the ideal operating environment to lay the groundwork for vital new discoveries worldwide. We believe people are our most valuable asset.

Aldevron is one of 10 Life Sciences companies of Danaher. Together, we accelerate the discovery, development, and delivery of solutions that safeguard and improve human health.

This position is part of the European Sales organization and will be based in Germany but is fully remote. You will be part of the EMEA Sales Team reporting to the Director of Sales, EMEA. As DACH region is a key growth market for Aldevron in Europe, you will be responsible for achieving orders and performance targets by developing new business opportunities, managing complex sales cycles and large (multi-million dollar, multi-year) deals, and building strong executive-level client relationships.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Goal Achievement and Performance Excellence: Consistently meet or exceed assigned orders goals, pipeline metrics, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) by maintaining high standards of client satisfaction and commercial excellence. This includes daily management of sales pipeline data in the CRM system, providing accurate and up-to-date forecasts, and exemplifying best practices in Value Selling and Funnel Management (including particularly CRM rigor).
  • Business Development and Market Share Gain: Identify and develop new business opportunities aligned with the company’s long-term objectives, including gaining market share, launching new products and services, and diversifying Aldevron’s business within existing accounts. Leverage the complete Aldevron portfolio and Danaher connections to further penetrate existing accounts, and proactively identify and engage Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to drive growth.
  • Complex Sales Cycle Leadership: Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to close, using a consultative selling approach to negotiate and close complex opportunities. Lead cross-functional teams, both internally and externally, to tailor solutions for clients, ensuring successful closure of deals. Coach and mentor team members in best practices for funnel management, prospecting, value selling and CRM discipline.
  • Executive Relationship Management: Cultivate and sustain strong, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers and senior or executive leadership to influence buying decisions and foster long-term client loyalty. Serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring Aldevron’s value proposition is clearly communicated and aligned with client needs, and maintain a high level of engagement with stakeholders throughout the sales process.
  • Peer Leadership and Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement by leading, facilitating, and participating in relevant workshops and leveraging Danaher Business System (DBS) tools. Lead by example in sharing best practices, and mentor peers to help shape team culture, performance standards, and overall organizational excellence.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Sales Experience: 7+ years in a client-facing sales role in the life sciences industry, with preferred experience in the biopharma industry selling into the cell and gene therapy client segments, with proven track record of being a top performer.  Proven end-to-end management of high-value deals ($1M+)
  • Technical Expertise: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field. Deep technical knowledge of molecular and cell biology, with the ability to clearly articulate complex biotherapeutic workflows such as nucleic acids, gene editing, DNA plasmids, mRNA therapeutics, viral vector technologies, and ex-vivo cell therapy.
  • CDMO/CMO Sales Background: Demonstrated success in sales roles with Contract Development and/or Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CDMO/CMO) supporting Cell and Gene Therapies, or equivalent experience.
  • Peer Leadership: Proven ability to lead and align cross-functional teams without formal authority, driving collaboration to deliver results for clients and the business.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% in DACH-region.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • MS or PhD in a scientific discipline.
  • Quantitative demonstration of consistent territory growth.
  • Continuous improvement methodologies
