Job description

Role

Build the Salesforce side of an order management capability for a beverage manufacturer: the order data model, the screens and flows that let customer experience teams amend and cancel SAP orders from inside Salesforce, and the reporting over them. You work to an integration architect on the same squad, inside an existing programme's sprint cycle.

What you will do

  • Build the Salesforce order data model, including mapping of client material, customer material, ship-to party and customer purchase order references.
  • Surface a projected requirement report inside Salesforce at account and material level, reproducing its record structure and the decision rules behind it.
  • Build the capability to amend order records — quantity, requested ship date, line-level detail and the reason code recorded against the amendment — and to cancel them.
  • Build return authorisations as an order type so returns are processed in Salesforce rather than in SAP.
  • Implement the state model governing which amendments are permitted at each stage of the order lifecycle, and the approval processes on the authorisation thresholds.
  • Build the exception and reconciliation surfaces showing users what has and has not been accepted by SAP.
  • Deliver five to ten reports and two to three dashboards over the order estate.

Essential

  • Four to six years building on the Salesforce platform, in a development rather than administration role.
  • Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, and consuming integrations through callouts and platform events.
  • Real work on transactional or order objects, including data model design, complex validation and approval processes.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I.
  • Fluent English, working the programme's ceremonies with a US-based team.

Desirable

  • Salesforce Order Management, or order objects in a Salesforce org integrated with an ERP.
  • Platform Developer II.
  • Reporting and dashboard build at volume.
  • Manufacturing or consumer packaged goods exposure.
