The primary focus of this role is training and enablement of our proprietary technology, including key features, functionality, and how it is used throughout the mortgage process

The corporate trainer will operate in a proactive multi-faceted communication model and will assist in the collaboration and alignment between Sales and Training material. This role plays a key part in supporting the development and success of new hire mortgage loan officers as they transition from training to active roles on the floor.

Responsibilities:

  • Host and deliver engaging live training sessions in front of audiences ranging from 20 to 200 trainees.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to newly hired mortgage loan officers as they begin their roles.
  • Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive training materials, including job aids, reference guides, FAQs, and other assets tailored to the specific needs of the lending department.
  • Record video training assets showing system functionality, typically between 3–6 minutes in length.
  • Manage ServiceNow tickets and the training inbox, troubleshooting issues with technology or systems to help remedy loan officer questions.
  • Work collaboratively with VPs and various stakeholders, providing expertise to assist with loan-level questions and process clarifications.
  • Manage inbound support requests related to systems, workflows, lending processes, and technology adoption.
  • Provide timely and accurate guidance to mortgage loan officers through email, chat, and one on one support.

  • Facilitate training classes and conduct one-on-one coaching sessions to reinforce skills and improve performance.
  • Offer personalized assistance to mortgage loan officers to enhance their knowledge and competencies.
  • Assist with the creation and distribution of training communications, release announcements, and technology updates.
  • Collaborate with business partners to gather feedback from end users and help improve training content, communications, and user experience.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a mortgage background or equivalent work experience in mortgage Lending, learning & development, or training facilitation.
  • Continuous mortgage knowledge is required, keeping up with technology or process enhancements and maintaining alignment with industry trends.
  • Proven experience in public speaking and delivering presentations to groups.
  • Ability to convey complex knowledge clearly and effectively to others, with a deep understanding of operations, products, and processes.
  • Familiarity with creating and updating training materials that are tailored to meet specific needs, utilizing adult learning principles.
  • Must be familiar with PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Demonstrated excitement to help others succeed and a positive attitude toward organizational change.
  • Ideally come from a learning and development background.
  • Previous experience with video editing using platforms like Canva, Bom Bom, or similar services is a plus.
