Job Description:

Turn complexity into clarity and deliver innovative applications as a SCRUM Master Senior at GDIT. Here, you’ll support our customers’ most important missions with smart, scalable solutions while we support you in growing and developing your technology career.

As a SCRUM Master Senior, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Healthcare Fraud Prevention Partnership (HFPP). You'll work daily with technical teams, data science, engineering, and others, to facilitate and perform fraud, waste, and abuse analytics on schedule for HFPP Partners.

HOW A SCRUM MASTER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Lead and facilitate the full Scrum lifecycle for technical teams, including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Partner with Task Managers, Product Owners, and individual contributors to tailor Agile ceremonies and ways of working to how each team operates best.

  • Drive continuous process improvement by identifying and removing impediments early, protecting the team from scope creep, and ensuring commitments remain realistic and achievable.

  • Utilize Jira and Confluence to maintain accurate, up-to-date backlogs, sprint boards, documentation, and team artifacts.

  • Track and report Agile health metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown, sprint predictability) and communicate them to leadership in clear, actionable terms.

  • Coordinate with multiple teams and stakeholders to align priorities, manage dependencies, and maintain transparency across initiatives.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent hands-on experience leading Scrum teams.

  • CSM, PSM, or similar Agile/Scrum certification preferred but not required.

  • 5–8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting technical and/or data-focused teams (e.g., data engineering, data science, analytics, or software development).

  • Proven success guiding teams through Agile adoption and continuous improvement.

  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for backlog management, sprint tracking, and Agile documentation.

  • Experience generating and interpreting Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, sprint predictability) and presenting them in a way that informs decision-making at the leadership level.

  • Strong facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Ability to influence and motivate without direct managerial authority; you lead through trust, transparency, and collaboration rather than hierarchy.

  • Comfortable coordinating across multiple teams simultaneously and managing competing priorities.

CLEARANCE AND WORK REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

  • 100% remote role; must reside in the United States.
