Fleet Lifecycle Manager
TEN (Transportation Equipment Network)
TEN is seeking a results-driven Fleet Lifecycle Manager to lead our fleet remarketing and asset disposition strategy across North America. This role is responsible for maximizing asset recovery and financial returns by managing the full lifecycle of aging, surplus, and underutilized trailer assets through direct sales, auctions, lease transitions, recycling programs, and other disposal channels.
As the leader of TEN Marketplace, you will oversee asset marketing, pricing, inventory management, customer engagement, and sales performance while partnering closely with Operations, Finance, Commercial, and Canadian Remarketing teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional who combines strong analytical capabilities with a deep understanding of fleet operations, equipment valuation, and asset management.
What You'll Do
Fleet Lifecycle & Remarketing Strategy
- Execute TEN's North American fleet lifecycle and asset disposition strategy.
- Identify aging, excess, and underperforming assets for remarketing and disposal.
- Develop and manage disposition plans through direct sales, auctions, lease transitions, and alternative channels.
- Maximize residual values and financial returns through effective pricing, negotiation, and market analysis.
- Monitor equipment valuations, industry trends, and competitive market activity to support strategic decision-making.
- Establish and manage disposition volume and profitability targets.
TEN Marketplace Leadership
- Oversee the day-to-day operation and growth of TEN Marketplace.
- Ensure equipment listings are accurate, well-positioned, and competitively priced.
- Manage customer inquiries and sales opportunities through the complete sales cycle.
- Drive marketplace performance, customer experience, and conversion rate improvements.
- Develop reporting and KPIs to measure sales activity, inventory movement, and financial results.
Financial & Inventory Management
- Partner with Operations and Finance to maintain accurate asset inventories and disposition readiness.
- Coordinate asset documentation, titles, maintenance histories, and financial records prior to sale.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, capital planning, and fleet replacement strategies.
- Collaborate with Finance on asset valuation, recovery expectations, gain/loss analysis, and disposition reporting.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Work closely with Canadian Remarketing, Commercial, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure a consistent customer experience and pricing strategy across North America.
- Build and maintain relationships with dealers, brokers, auction partners, recyclers, and customers.
- Support lead generation, marketing campaigns, and sales initiatives that enhance marketplace visibility and equipment sales.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track and report performance metrics related to asset recovery, inventory aging, disposition profitability, and sales cycle efficiency.
- Provide regular updates and recommendations to leadership regarding market conditions and portfolio performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase recovery rates, and optimize lifecycle management practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, title transfer procedures, and documentation standards.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Transportation, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management, transportation equipment sales, remarketing, leasing, asset management, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of trailer equipment, fleet operations, asset valuation, and lifecycle management.
- Proven ability to negotiate transactions and manage commercial relationships.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, including depreciation, residual value, and ROI analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and asset management systems.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel as needed throughout North America.
