  • Define backend services, API contracts, integration patterns, service boundaries, and data integrity controls for distributed and event-driven systems.
  • Design and optimize data architectures using advanced SQL, data modeling, indexing strategies, and query plan analysis to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Support modern web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or Angular, particularly where front-end functionality connects to authentication and API workflows.
  • Guide the modernization of legacy applications by promoting SOLID principles, Clean Architecture, secure coding standards, and maintainable, testable design practices.
  • Design and support Azure solutions while helping migrate applications and services from on-premises environments to the cloud.
  • Actively use AI tools, including Claude through our Anthropic partnership, to streamline tasks, improve the quality of your work, and share best practices with teammates while continuously seeking new ways to integrate AI into your everyday workflows
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost across the broader platform.
  • Apply infrastructure-as-code and automated deployment practices using tools such as Bicep, Helm, GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
  • Incorporate observability, resilience, and operational readiness into solution designs using modern monitoring and logging tools.
  • Research architecture options, evaluate tradeoffs, present recommendations, and influence stakeholders on technical direction and investment decisions.
  • Lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and encourage collaborative problem-solving, knowledge sharing, accountability, and continuous improvement across distributed teams.

What it takes:

  • Consultative approach and problem solving skills to successfully align digital solutions with long-term business goals of the client
