What you'll do:

As a part-time Optometrist, you’ll provide comprehensive primary vision and eye health care in a patient-focused clinic, caring for patients ages one and older and managing a wide range of vision and eye health needs. This role requires at least one eight-hour shift every eight weeks, with eight hours of patient-facing care and up to 24 patients per day per OD. You’ll have access to advanced diagnostic technology, including Optos and OCT, along with the support of a skilled team so you can focus on delivering exceptional care. Malpractice insurance is included.

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D., including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure

1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills

Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

For roles that are remote (i.e., Work From Home (WFH)) or hybrid (i.e., partial onsite at a VSP location and WFH), must demonstrate a high level of engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings to support effective communication and team alignment
