Job Description:

Vendor Manager

The Vendor Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of Veristat’s vendor lifecycle, from vendor identification and proposal support through selection, qualification, negotiation, and contract execution. The role will lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities globally, including those supporting clinical trials conducted on behalf of Veristat’s sponsors.

The Vendor Manager will also develop and maintain strong relationships with contracted vendors, serving as a key point of contact for performance concerns and escalations. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining vendor performance measures, including KPIs and scorecards, monitoring vendor performance and market trends, and evaluating new and emerging vendors to ensure Veristat maintains a strong, competitive, and high-performing vendor network

What we offer

  • The estimated hiring range for this role is $110- $127k plus applicable bonus. This hiring range is specific to the US and will vary for other regions based upon local market data.  Final salary is ultimately decided upon taking into account a wide range of factors, including but not limited to: skills and experience, licensure and certifications, education, specific location and dynamic market data.

What we look for

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in vendor management, procurement, strategic sourcing, contracting, or supplier management; clinical research/CRO, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the vendor lifecycle from sourcing and proposal development through contracting, relationship management, and ongoing performance management.
  • Experience developing and managing vendor KPIs, scorecards, governance programs, and performance improvement plans preferred.
  • Strong experience with vendor negotiation, qualification, sourcing, procurement, and contracting.
  • Ability to analyze vendor capabilities, pricing, performance, operational risk, and market alternatives to support strategic decision-making.
  • Demonstrated project/program management skills, including risk assessment and contingency planning.
  • Strong matrix leadership, communication, negotiation, teamwork, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external business partners.
  • Innovative and adaptable; able to challenge the status quo, drive change, and support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and relevant vendor/procurement systems; awareness of applicable local country requirements is required.
