Overview:

We are looking for a mid–senior Platform Engineer to support our IronGate application, an ETL platform running in AWS. You will be the primary owner of the cloud environment for this product, working closely with the application team to make our platform reliable, secure, and easy to operate. 

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building cloud infrastructure, setting up automation, and improving the way engineering teams deliver software.

Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do 

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment across development, staging, and production. 
  • Build and manage AWS infrastructure, including S3, IAM, networking, and services that support secure file transfer and data movement. 
  • Move the IronGate platform from manual setups to Infrastructure-as-Code, so environments are consistent and repeatable. 
  • Implement security best practices, including access control, encryption, and secure configurations. 
  • Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting so the team has clear visibility into system health and issues. 
  • Work with PostgreSQL and other data storage solutions that support the IronGate data pipeline. 
  • Collaborate closely with the IronGate product team (developers and product owners) to understand requirements and translate them into robust platform solutions. 
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications 

  • 6+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar role. 
  • Strong, hands-on experience with AWS (e.g., S3, IAM, networking/VPC, security groups). 
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar. 
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK). 
  • Experience applying security best practices in cloud environments. 
  • Experience setting up monitoring and logging (e.g., CloudWatch or similar tools). 
  • Strong experience with PostgreSQL and familiarity with other data storage options. 
  • Comfortable working as the primary platform owner for a product, while collaborating with other technical teams as needed. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience working in regulated cloud environments, such as AWS GovCloud or environments governed by FedRAMP or DoD requirements. 
  • Experience with AWS Transfer Family and AWS DataSync
  • Experience with ETL or data pipeline workloads. 
  • Experience supporting web application teams (e.g., React/Angular) from an infrastructure and deployment perspective.

Target salary range: $111426.84 - $192890.16

Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, skills, and security clearances.
